I put “co-host a retreat” on my 50 by 50 list, thinking it was a stretch goal for 2027. Apparently, the universe had other plans. ✨

Because THIS NOVEMBER, I’m joining Steph from Harvest and D. Lisa the Dream Doula to co-host the Harvest Fall Retreat in Palm Springs! 🌴

Four glorious days to get out of your usual orbit and back into yourself. To rest, play, dream, question everything (or nothing!), and remember that you’re allowed to want MORE from this one wild life.

Think sound baths, dream work, art, movement, swimming, chef-prepared meals, belly laughs, deep conversations, and long stretches of time when nobody needs you to do a thing. All at a mind-blowingly gorgeous property just outside PS.

November 13th–16th. Four days just for YOU.
Come rest, reset, and dream big with us. Who knows what might happen next? 💫

Melissa said something on this episode that’s been sitting with us all week:

Healing was never about escaping to somewhere else.
There’s a version of the wellness world that sells you transcendence like it’s the whole point. Get high enough, evolved enough, “healed” enough that you float above the mess of being human.

Melissa’s work with Arrivo Collective points somewhere different. The real work isn’t leaving yourself behind. It’s arriving home to who you already are.

That distinction changes everything about how you approach growth. One version keeps you chasing. The other lets you land.

Full conversation is in the works! In the meantime, listen to our latest episode. Link in bio. ☕

Someone just told me why they didn’t believe in astrology, and I get how the idea can seem a little delulu on the surface. But as I looked up at the moon last night and reflected on the coming eclipse, I realized how much inspiration I’ve taken from astrology and observing the movements of the moon, stars, and planets. 🪐🌖

And that isn’t because I’m certain there’s some cosmic blueprint baked into it all. It’s more because life has taught me that we need something to believe in. And at this time in our evolution, so many of the things we were told to put our faith and trust in have revealed themselves to be false. Our leaders let us down, our structures crumble around us, our institutions fail to rise to the moment.

So I’ve found comfort in the ritual of looking up at the full moon and remembering how long humans have been doing the same. I wonder about my ancestors farming in the hills of Abruzzo, or setting sail from Sicily with the sky above them.

What I love about astrology is the way it asks us to slow down, look inward, and consider what lights up our path, and what shadow there is to explore.

So my question for you is: What if the stars don’t need to determine our lives to help us understand them?

More thoughts on astrology, belief, and looking up in the usual place. 🔗

Our hearts are full after an amazing sound bath at @garibaldinasociety last night. 🙏🏻💕

The event was called Luce del Solstizio, which means “Light of the Solstice” in Italian, and it was inspired by the upcoming summer solstice and the Festa di San Giovanni, an Italian celebration of summertime. 🇮🇹☀️

At the event, we went on a relaxing sonic journey, where we set intentions for the season ahead. @jonny_gufo created a custom facial spritz for the event, inspired by the Italian tradition of making a ceremonial water from wildflower and herbs called Acqua di San Giovanni to honor the solstice.

Something we shared last night: Perhaps the true magic of ritual is not in the practices themselves, but in the act of slowing down and remembering that we, too, are part of the cycles of nature.

Last night, we planted our own seed of intention for the summer, as we soft launched Arrivo Collective, a partnership focused on creating gatherings and experiences for nourishment, connection, and self-reflection. We can’t imagine a more wonderful way to welcome Arrivo into the world.

Endless gratitude to Garibaldina Society for hosting us, to the generous @tollifante @jessierosenwriter and @ddciulla for their support, and to everyone who came and co-created such a beautiful experience.

Wishing you a summer full of joy, light, community, and connection. ✨🥰💐

This decision and this post weren’t exactly planned, but it’s Scorpio season, I’m a Scorpio Rising, it’s a 9 year + the Year of the Snake AND a full moon 🌕…So here we are.

Today, I say goodbye with love and gratitude to Starla Frequency, the name of my sound healing business and an identity that has carried me through one of the most transformative chapters of my life. 🙏🏻

Starla was born in the pandemic as a creation and a portal, a way for me to step into something more potent, powerful, and aligned. Starla was my Jem to Melissa’s Jerrica: a performer who was a little more wild and free, a lot more colorful and daring. She embodied my Mars in Leo in the 10th house, the part of me that thrives on visibility, expression, and creative courage.

At first, I told myself Starla was a mask that could keep my work in the sound and healing spaces separate from my world in film and video production. But the longer I lived as her, the more I realized that the work was never really separate. The truth is, I no longer need a separate identity to hold this work.

Coming to this decision has been its own initiation, bringing sudden clarity, peace, and a sense of readiness for what’s next. But one of the greatest lessons Starla taught me was to slow down. To let transformation unfold in its own time.

So I’m taking November as a month for rest, reflection, and re-rooting. No new events on my calendar. No social media after today. Just stillness, space, and tending the soil for what’s to come. If I’m slow to respond, know that is why.

What’s next for me will take everything Starla taught me about sound, story, and transformation, and root it into something more grounded, collaborative, embodied, and whole. ❤️‍🔥

If you’ve felt the faint hum of something ending, and something else beginning as this challenging year draws to a close, know that you’re not alone. Transformation is some of the hardest work we do as humans, and the most essential. The times we are living in asks it of us. So if you’ve been resisting, take this as your sign to answer the call of your own soul, and let go of what you don’t need to carry forward.

See you on the other side!

I’ve been facilitating sound baths for years, but in 2025 I’ve been evolving into a new chapter, to take my journeys deeper through the power of conscious breath. 💨

This summer I completed my breathwork training with @somaticartsacademy and this Sunday is the first time I’m fully weaving breath + sound into one ceremony, led only by me. It’s a Cosmic Sound + Breath journey at @archetypeyoga in Pasadena, to honor the Full Supermoon in Aries.

It feels like something that I’ve been growing for a long time is finally ripe, and what better time than under the Harvest Supermoon? 🌕

Harvest Moon = gather what’s grown, give thanks, release what’s done. ✅
Aries = initiation, heart-forward action, creative spark. ⚡️

This full moon comes on the heels of September’s intense eclipse season. After everything that came up for us, now we get to focus on what wants to be carried forward with more clarity and confidence.

Sunday’s event will start with guided breathwork to clear what’s heavy and steady the nervous system, then we’ll soften into a soothing sound bath to integrate and listen for 1–2 grounded intentions for what and how you’ll create this fall.

If you’ve been feeling lost, in-between, or ready to reset, come sit with us. Info in the usual spot, or message me for more details. Mats, blankets, blocks, and tea provided. Bring your journal and an open heart! ❤️

Life feeling super intense right now? ❤️‍🩹🙈⚡️

I have a solution: come to an immersive, nourishing sound bath with me and @adaneimindfulness at @awarenesscenteryoga on Sunday.

We are going to take a journey, to support releasing old habits through breathwork, stepping into new energy with sound, + harnessing the power of the eclipse and honoring the new energy of the Fall Equinox and new moon.🍁🌙

I know how challenging life has been for many of us, and it can often make us feel like hiding from the world. But now is the moment to take care of yourself so you can show up fully and in your most aligned state, and to connect with others in like-minded community.

I can’t wait for this event tomorrow, and hope to see you there. You can sign up in the usual spot, or message me if you want to get your name on the list.

And… breathe! 🤩✨💕

For the first time in a long time, I have a whole bunch of sound baths scheduled for the coming weeks, and even more in the works. 🙌🏻❤️‍🔥🤩 After taking a breathwork certification with @somaticartsacademy this summer, I’m looking forward to more fully integrating conscious breathing into my sound baths.

Even though I’ve been facilitating sound baths for four-plus years, I wouldn’t say I’ve been fully committed. Divorce and the upheaval that followed played a role. A difficult and disappointing experience with a spiritual teacher left me disillusioned and intent on never putting anyone through the kind of out-of-alignment ‘healing’ I went through.

Imposter Syndrome is in the mix, and maybe the place I have to look deepest. At the last new moon, I named every limiting belief I carry about facilitating sound baths. The list was… extensive: doubts, fear of judgment, perfectionism, the story that everyone else could do it better, the worry that no one will come, and the louder worry that if they do, it won’t help them.

So I’m doing what I (eventually) do when something intimidates me: stop running and move toward it. Hosting an ancestral healing sound bath last week brought me back to why I began, and how deeply this work lives in my lineage and in my hands.

I’m also looking at the world with a heavy heart and asking what role I want to play. We make a million “small” choices each day that shape reality: how we show up, what we share, what we devote ourselves to, whether we stand for what we believe. I’ve spent years telling stories that helped companies sell things. Sometimes that felt fine, even noble. Lately, it doesn’t. We’re drowning in stuff and subscriptions. In this next chapter, I want to create spaces where people can step out of the loop of consuming and remember they’re already enough.

So here’s my commitment: I’m showing up, imperfectly but consistently, with breath and bowls to create spaces where your nervous system can exhale, where grief and hope can both belong, and where you can hear your own inner guidance again. ✨💕🥰

I hope to see you at a sound bath soon.
