Yesterday, a wonderful group of young students from Maple Leaf International School visited us at the Changing Grounds exhibition.

We had a lovely conversation about family albums, photography sessions, and creative practice. Always refreshing to meet curious young minds and hear their thoughts.

Yesterday evening, DrikPath Bhobon became more than a screening space,it became a place of remembrance, reflection, and shared conversations.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us for the screening of প্রিয় unknown-30y , directed by @rajattanmay . The second floor of DrikPath Bhobon filled with people who came together to remember Priyo—a photographer, a Pathshala alumnus, and a martyr of the July Uprising of 2024.

The evening did not end with the closing credits. It continued through an engaging conversation between the film's crew and the audience, where memories, questions, and reflections were exchanged with sincerity and care. Together, we spoke about the responsibility of witnessing, the role of images in shaping collective memory, and the lives that continue to inspire us long after they are gone.

Thank you to the filmmakers, everyone who participated in the discussion, and every person who took the time to be present. Your presence transformed the screening into a collective act of remembrance.

Some stories deserve more than to be watched—they deserve to be shared, questioned, and carried forward.

Until the next screening.

.
A land of majestic peaks and ancient traditions, Nepal reveals the tales of resilience and hope. Wandering through its vast landscapes, we encountered voices of communities resisting displacement under the development banner. Herbal medicinal healers shared centuries-old remedies in a remote village. Solitude in the mountains echoed the stories of migration, of people seeking brighter futures far from home.

We walked through lush community forests and past dried riverbeds where fishermen once cast their nets. Youthful energy thrived despite uncertainty, embodying the spirit to overcome. Nature and humanity intertwined with inspiring strength, reminding us that even in the most challenging circumstances, there lies an unbreakable bond that sustains both people and places.

I am cordially inviting everyone to the opening of the group exhibition titled “PSA: Beyond the Gaze 2023-2024.” The opening ceremony will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 6:30 PM at La Galerie. The exhibition will be followed by a six-month workshop that welcomes young photographers and lens-based artists from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.

“This has been a deeply important and emotional journey for me as a mentor and initiator, imagining a shared regional platform for lens-based practitioners in the region. Together with my dear friend Soumya Sankar Bose, I initiated the platform titled “Beyond the Gaze,” inviting ten enthusiastic young practitioners from the region. We were privileged to invite leading visual artists, photographers, historians, anthropologists, art lawyers, photobook publishers, filmmakers, and curators to share their insights.

We embarked on an intense six-month journey together. We shared our experiences, motivated each other, and faced many challenges, but through it all, we grew together. Each participant has developed a new body of work that will be presented in the exhibition.

This initiative received generous support from PSA-Photo South Asia, with additional backing from our exhibition and workshop partners, Kiran Nadar Museum, Delhi, and Alliance Française de Dhaka.”………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………photo credit-
