Come and share my table…

My next Share My Table working lunch is on Wednesday 14th October - bringing together ten people from the interiors and creative world around my table in Fulham.

No awkward networking. Just a relaxed lunch, good food, interesting people and the opportunity to make connections that hopefully continue long after the plates have been cleared.

And, rather conveniently, the 14th is also the final day of Decorex at Olympia - just a brisk 15-minute walk from me (or a hop, skip and a jump on the bus!).

So you can spend the morning at Decorex, join us for lunch, and still pop back for the end of the show afterwards.

If you work in interiors or the creative world and would like a seat around the table, DM me LUNCH and I’ll send you all the details.

From a wall in my dining area I listen to the joyful characters of Kev Munday, they are talking to me about their uniqueness, freedom of expression, solidarity and community as well as the beauty of the ordinary.

ＴＨＥＣＨＯＳＥＮＴＷＯ．．．

@art.and.eye commissioned me to create two large originals, for a particular space in her home. They will be framed, in a black frame, artwork floating with art glass, thanks @projectframing. Imagine mock up, thanks to @smartistapp

When I'm commissioned I always paint two, giving the client a choice, in this case I painted four, leaving two paintings now available on my website.

Rock & Paper Collective is made up of three members:

A quick introduction.

Celia, the creative force of colour behind Rock & Paper Collective! Celia is an emerging artist, working with Emulsion paint on rag cotton sheets. Celia is known by some, for her large florals and others for her fun, modern-miniatures.

When she's not creating art, Celia loves spending time with her family - including teenage twins and a household full of pets (4 cats and a Labrador, to be exact!). As the founder of @artwithlittlepics, Celia has built a successful children's art class business, which has been running for many years. On weekends, she's often found browsing vintage markets for hidden gems and snapping photos of things that inspire her creativity.

Celia has had her work featured is several magazines, including @homesandgardensofficial, she is represented by @emuplops, @watchseenart & @art.and.eye and proudly exhibits her work in the famous and popular london interiors @theoldcinemalondon

ＩＦＹＯＵＮＥＥＤＭＥ．．．

I'm here for the rest of the day!

I've done my class, a bit of local shopping (new plant, thanks @urbantropicana, can you guess which one?) and posted this weeks sold works at the post office, @royalmailofficial have been excellent recently!

Also popped into see Philippa @stems_and_vines for the extra bit of inspiration, such beautiful flowers!! Grab myself a couple for my current commissions for @art.and.eye (The brief, no purple, no bird, tulips and peonies, I'm really enjoying myself with these new paintings).

And my lovely friend Helen from @the_custard_tart came for a cuppa and gossip!

So I've got my audible book playing for this month's book club, The Glassmaker by @tracychevalierwriter, which I'm loving and I'm ready to paint...

This year I've been focusing on building my portfolio. I have really enjoyed being more experimental and exploring new colour pallets and painting between my florals and foodies. It's been a rather reproductive year (so far) and my website is full.

So it's perfect timing for a commission! I'm always chuffed to be asked. As always when I paint a commission, I paint two, but as the client is after two, I'll be painting four.

Thank you @art.and.eye for this, having someone ask who is an art consultant but it's for your own home not a client is really a massive compliment.

Last week, @santin0, @art.and.eye and I went for a fabulous pre-Xmas lunch of New-York/Italian food at the new, and already iconic @martinoslondon in Sloane Square. It’s already a delicious vibe.

Studio visits are one of our favourite things ❤️

Our very own @art.and.eye got to visit @winkylewis in her studio in Portland, Maine and wow 🤩.

Winky was a runner up for our first ever Mentor Prize and so when we had the chance to stop by her studio, we knew we had to take it.

Winky catches the invisible threads that tie our every day lives together. In her latest series, Shadow Kid’s, Winky is capturing the fleeting beauty and fragility of childhood.

Life-sized silhouettes layered with relics of the past become quiet reminders of innocence at risk.

One things for sure - this is not the last time we’ll be talking about Winky and her work!
