Weeks 20–27 of 2026 — home, and then another kind of home 🏡

The last weeks in Dubai before flying to São Paulo were filled with simple joy.

I found myself soaking up everything I knew I would miss for a while: long conversations with dear friends, favorite cafes and galleries, evening walks before the summer heat arrived, and hours in dear @alkassceramics glazing everything I’d made over the past months. Packing up my shelf before leaving felt surprisingly emotional. Thank you, my dear people. Dubai — see you when the heat settles down!

Then came São Paulo: more chaotic, louder, more unpredictable.

One early morning an opera singer—perhaps unable to sleep—sang a single aria into the silent street. Then everything went quiet again.

A few days later, during a Brazil match, the city celebrated a goal so passionately that, despite our windows being closed, it felt as if we were sitting in the middle of the stadium.

What has surprised me most, though, is the people. We’ve had several unexpected encounters with incredibly kind people. Somehow, we already have friends to visit galleries with or spend an evening at the philharmonic. I love places where chance meetings so naturally become the beginning of friendships.

Somewhere between saying goodbye to one place and settling into another, the idea for a new body of work quietly appeared. Now comes the slower part: finding its form.

At the same time, life has been full of practical things: moving, preparing for the baby’s arrival, and a busy season at Estée Lauder. What surprised me is that, instead of draining my creativity, the work has been energizing it.

For as long as I can remember, logic and creativity felt like two separate parts of me, and I kept trying to reconcile them.

Lately, through both therapy and the new way of approaching my artistic practice, I’ve started tracing the roots of what makes me feel most alive. I’m beginning to wonder whether the creative energy behind my artwork and the creativity I bring to analytical work come from the same source.

If that’s true, it feels like a small step toward a deeper kind of inner harmony.

Al Khayat Avenue, Dubai 2026 for @art.seeding

This work continues our exploration of industrial aesthetics.
The starting point for any of our compositions is the context of
the location.
All our projects are site-specific: they correlate and interact with
the surrounding landscape through forms, volumes, textures,
silhouettes, and color schemes. The contrast of the urban
environment - where outdated, weathered buildings coexist with
new developments, natural and artificial textures, and
infrastructure of varying scales - is one of the central themes we
strive to visualize through our art and our dialogue with the city.
