Very soon, we’ll be launching a new Open Call for the second Weirdough Art Series.

Last Thursday, Weirdough changed shape a little.

Our first Weirdough Art Series Exhibition brought together local art, music, drinks, nibbles and so many lovely faces sharing the space.

Thank you to @micol.ap for curating this first edition, to @amy_goodchild, @sayhellotoisles, @scarabocchi_galore and @ninnipannini for filling our walls with new stories, and to @unai_trotti, @adi_purplepitch and @vass_vass_vass for the music.

And thank you to everyone who came along, had a drink, looked around, asked questions and became part of this first evening.

This is just the beginning.

I was speaking at @artbl.a, discussing how Roy Lichtenstein used images of brushstrokes to explore perception and the continuity of experience between painting as object and as virtual representational space, both of which remain connected to the material world, even in abstraction.
