hello!

it’s been a while! here’s a handmade patchwork i made of my love’s old torn + too small t shirts. gifted to him on the morning of his 28th birthday (and then he outdid me with a 💍 that afternoon lol). returning to fulltime work last summer has been consuming way too much of my mental and physical energy, but big change is on the horizon, i can walk to the beach for sunset, and i can create whatever my heart desires ✨🫶🏻💗 more projects to share in due time, but this one makes me feel the most proud so this one goes first! 🌟

ps. i really enjoyed this project + happy to take on commissions in this style. save me ur old tees :)

one more proposal story;

we’ve been dating 6 years so the proposal was an anticipated surprise :) when talking to my sister beforehand, i mentioned i would much rather have family or friends take the photos rather than hiring someone. so unbeknownst to me, his family and mine both prepared this romantic setting on the jetty for us to “stumble across” on a walk… what i didn’t see walking up was our family tucked down in the rocks, waiting for us to arrive. my sister caroline took photos with a digital camera we were each gifted one christmas 10+ years ago, his sister natalia took photos on film, and her love sebastian picked up my 8th grade digital camera when i set it on a rock as we were approaching, and started shooting on that too! we ended up with the most gorgeous sets of photos taken from the perspectives of people we love 💗

so here is nat’s perspective on film, with some behind the scenes pics at the end… including the moment i saw julia! memories i will treasure forever!!

a reminder for mySelf

after 3 years of recovering from my spinal surgery, learning how to trust my body again, and how to live with my disease; i’ve finally returned to working full time. of course anxiety came to the surface quickly in regards to so many things - losing my identity on the days i have to wear a uniform, dampening parts of myself i adore because they aren’t professional, hurting myself again, or not being accommodated to a suitable level… this is my reminder, a tried and true mantra that has carried me through good times and bad

i’m happy to say that my anxiety was just that, and the transition back into full time work has been smooth and (mostly) pain free! i’m leaning into my confidence, not only to manage 30 restaurants and develop relationships with those teams and our office team, but also to advocate for myself fearlessly. invisible disabilities require so much effort and advocacy, because without my communication, it is completely unrecognizable that i need help.

with my return to work, i’ve taken a big step back from tattooing and art in a business sense. i’m happy to retire these to hobbies and will continue to explore all media in my spare time… i have some personal painting and sewing projects from the past few months in the vault waiting to be shared. but for now my focus is health, wealth, loved ones, and wedding planning 💍 love & blessings to all ~
