“Right here and now, one quanta away, there is raging a universe of active intelligence that is transhuman, hyperdimensional, and extremely alien... What is driving religious feeling today is a wish for contact with this other universe.” - Terence McKenna

This week Salem & I went to the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art in St. Joe. There was a local artist exhibiting work, Thomas Gieseke @artbytomdotcom . He had these vibrant paintings of monsters in different scenery. A few of them had the West Bottoms as a backdrop. The one that stuck out to Salem was a lobster train. Drawing inspiration from our museum field trip we created this piece together. Salem directed me to draw everything on the page then we used watercolor to paint it. I'm definitely a better painter than a drawer!

Here is what I was directed to paint: In front of the house is a cherry tree and a blueberry bush. A cat is climbing the tree and grandma is next to it picking fruit with a basket. A little girl is in the house saying hi to her grandmother. There is a rooster on the roof and flowers out front. On the train is a mom & girl, a dog, and lots of cats. It is raining over the house.
