During my artist residency in Hebei, I was inspired to create this painting after observing old men fishing along the northeast sea coast of China in the fall. A very wise 10-year-old once told me that to paint the cold, you have to feel the cold. Watching these old men enjoy themselves on a cold day, it struck me that it didn’t seem to matter whether they caught anything at all. Perhaps they were simply there to feel the cold.

This work is currently on view at @artelli.official @cityofdreamsmacau until the end of March.

As we wrap up 2024, we’re also celebrating a huge milestone - Artelli’s 2nd Anniversary! 🤍

A heartfelt thank you to all the incredible artists from around the world who’ve brought their creativity to life with us, making every exhibition and event truly unforgettable. And of course, to all the art enthusiasts, supporters, and industry partners, you’re the reason this journey has been so special and seamless.

It’s been two years of creativity, inspiration, and connection. We hope @artelli.official has been more than just an art space, rather, a community gathering place for reflection, exploration, and shared learning. Because art isn’t just an object to admire or a form of expression, it is a part of life.🌿

Guess what? We’re just getting started.
Stay tuned with us for more➡️

CROWN @basquiatofficial WRLD

I am so grateful for @artelli.official for giving me the opportunity to immerse myself in my favorite artists work in real life, in an art gallery, in Asia. Something I honestly thought would’ve been impossible.

🤘🏾IF IT WASN’T FOR HIM, I WOULDN’T BE🤴🏾
