POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

an afternoon filled with art, culture, and community in baltimore. 🤎

spent the afternoon at @charmcity_cc (Charm City Cultural Cultivation) exploring photographer Devin Allen’s exhibition She Saw Me Coming, followed by an inspiring artist talk featuring Arthur Fitzhugh III, Kirby Griffin, and Sandman.

one of my biggest takeaways from the conversation was the importance of sustaining the legacy our elders have built for us. honoring their stories, preserving the spaces they created, and continuing to build something meaningful for the generations that follow.

a beautiful reminder of the power of art, storytelling, and community. ✨

What a fabulous afternoon in New York for a great cause. Today I had the honor of attending Charm City Cultural Cultivation’s ( @charmcity_cc ) Fall Luncheon at @marcuscooks ‘ @havandmar - hosted by Baltimore champion and internationally acclaimed artist @derrickadamsny in support of The Last Resort Artist Retreat.

As I continue moving deeper into my own space as an artist, storyteller and documentarian of Baltimore, I’ve been thinking a lot about the different ways I can use my platform to tell our city’s stories, not just through food, but through the people, culture, creativity and community that make Baltimore what it is. There are so many people doing meaningful work for this city, and I want to continue finding ways to make sure their stories are seen, heard and celebrated.

The afternoon also honored three incredible Baltimoreans, @andre_deshields , @nicoleariparker and @tonyarmiller . To sit in a room in New York and see Baltimore’s creative legacy celebrated while investing in its future was incredibly special. Baltimore showed up beautifully today, and I was proud to be in the room.

A huge thank you to @terimhenderson @isaiahrw & @artfitzyou for being the best table mates!
