My new studio is enough ready.

I’d been wanting to move into a larger space for a long while, and before finally making the commitment to do so, I was constantly changing my mind back and forth, mainly due to money. I asked myself when have I not been a risk taker?

After several delays, we finally got the keys earlier this year, and work began on the shell that you see from pictures number 12.

The first thing we did was put a pause on our gym memberships as we knew the work required in the new studio would do enough damage!

Now we have finished painting the walls, sanding the floor, concreting the floor, building the storage space as well as countless other unfamiliar bits that we needed to freshly learn, I can finally feel what I have been imagining for all of these months.

Have a look at some of the photos where you can see us transforming the studio, working in the studio, and some of the new secrets that now belong here.

If you would like to come for a cuppa, just let me know, I‘ll also be setting up some workshops here in the near future.

I will now paint as much as I want!

Thanks to @spinnersmillleigh for providing such opportunities and thanks to the GMCA culture fund (@salfordcvs )who kindly supported me along the way.

Thanks also to @ryanc_73 for all of his support. However, He didn’t work harder than me, he just doesn’t use his camera enough!

I had a blast today learning Sumi-e painting with my creative partner in crime @laura_kate_thomas1991 🖌🌸🎍🐅

I loved using these brushes and learning how to not get too lost in the detail, literally go with the flow! 🧘‍♀️

Thank you so much @artfloat and for playing some of my favourite music that is the Studio Ghibli soundtrack ✨️💙
