More shots from Go Skateboarding Day in Cleveland. These started with the Deep Blue LUT from Lumix Lab, transitioned into a Leica Monochrome look, and were finished with a few subtle RAW edits to tie everything together. One thing I’ve really come to appreciate with the Lumix S5IIX is being able to shoot both JPEG and RAW. Most of the time the JPEGs are exactly what I want, but it’s nice knowing I have the RAW files if I decide to push an edit a little further once I get home. That flexibility has made the workflow feel a lot more creative and a lot less time-consuming. The S5IIX is quietly becoming one of my favorite cameras I’ve ever shot with. #lumix #lumixlab #jpeg #goskateboarding

Spent Father’s Day weekend in Cleveland for Go Skateboarding Day. Brought the Lumix S5IIX and shot everything in Leica Monochrome. No distractions just light, texture, concrete, and moments that would’ve been lost in color. Sometimes black and white says more than color ever could.

Shots from the Home Ave DIY event in Dayton. Captured on my Artifacts Monochrome and Endless Summer Recipes—lots of contrast, texture, and summer light. The kind of show where every corner feels worth photographing. A few of my favorite frames are the double exposures at the end. Sometimes the accidents are the best part. #DaytonDIY #HomeAveDIY #FujifilmRecipes #FilmLook #MonochromePhotography

Just a few moments captured through my Fujifilm. 📸 No special occasion, no big plan, just photos that felt worth taking

Everyone talks about Fujifilm recipes like they’re the magic trick. And honestly, I get it. The X100VI makes nostalgia feel accessible. Warm highlights. Soft shadows. Colors that feel remembered instead of rendered. But recipes aren’t the only trick up this camera’s sleeve. The real magic is how it invites experimentation. Double exposures are where things start to feel different. Instead of capturing a single moment, you’re blending two together in camera. And there’s no “right” way to do it. The X100VI makes experimentation feel easy — more like sketching than shooting. These images weren’t edited later in Photoshop. They were made in camera. One frame layered over another. That’s what makes double exposures so addictive. The camera doesn’t just emulate film. It changes the way you shoot. #FujifilmX100VI #DoubleExposure #FujifilmRecipes #ArtifactsOfLight #FujiXSeries Photography

Artifacts Monochrome Inspired by classic monochrome photography, this recipe focuses on light, texture, and atmosphere over technical perfection. Deep blacks, soft highlights, restrained contrast, and subtle grain create timeless black-and-white images. Best used for: • Overcast weather • Street and documentary photography • Portraits with texture • Shadows, rain, and negative space It works best slightly underexposed, embracing mood and imperfection over clean precision. Recommended settings: • ISO 800–3200 • f4–f8 • Slight negative exposure compensation Not nostalgia. Unfinished business. . #fujifilm #fujirecipes #fujistyle #fujix100vi

These photos were shot with a mindset more than a recipe. Warm sidewalks. Long shadows. Soft contrast. Slight grain. Colors that feel sun faded instead of digitally perfect. If you want that disposable film feeling, stop chasing razor thin depth of field all the time. A look like this lives closer to f8. Not because it is technically perfect, but because it feels honest. Disposable cameras rarely isolated subjects with creamy backgrounds. Everything existed together. The people. The street. The atmosphere. The moment. At f8 the world stays connected. The environment matters just as much as the subject. Light wraps differently. Highlights bloom softer. Imperfections survive the image. That is where this look comes from. Chasing the film look is not nostalgia. It is unfinished business. The attempt to document life the way it actually felt while you were standing there.

Six years ago, my buddy @trchamberlin finally pulled me into this world. And by “pulled me in,” I mean he lit the fuse on a long line of hobbies that are equal parts meaningful and financially irresponsible. It started during the pandemic. “Just try fading a pair,” he said. Then it was The Arcuate. Then this account. Then cameras. Then better lenses. Then a computer that costs more than my first car so I could edit photos and video. If you’re keeping score, Tristan is responsible for most of the hobbies that drain my bank account and somehow make my life better. The wild part is I met him 24 years ago. Freshman year at the University of Toledo. We hadn’t even talked yet, but I watched him skating outside the dorms… and then fall off a bridge. Right then I knew two things: 1. This guy was going to be my friend. 2. He was going to drag me back into skating. More than once. I started skating in the early 90s. By the mid-90s I was throwing myself off anything I could find and collecting plenty of scars along the way. By the time college came around, I had stepped away from the sport and the community. Next thing I know, I’m helping him and our buddy Mike dodge campus police… and I’m right back in. Looking back, that’s kind of been Tristan’s role in my life. When we met, I was still figuring out who I was. Trying to be the version of me I thought I was supposed to be. The version I thought other people expected. Stuck somewhere in between. He pulled me back into a community. When my dad died at 24 and nothing felt like it mattered, Tristan pulled me back again. He helped me reconnect to skating, helped me and one of my closest friends start a brand, and opened the door to the industry. He didn’t just pull me into hobbies. He pulled me back into myself. Fast forward a couple decades and the pattern hasn’t changed. Skating. Denim. Photography. Building things. Chasing things. Creating things. A long, expensive history. Wouldn’t change a damn thing.

Happy Fathers Day @oldsalt211996 “Charted in Light” He is a sailor, weathered not by salt alone, but by the quiet discipline of setting out each day into unmapped waters with nothing but instinct and a compass of love. He is a father, not just by title, but by the small weight of a hand held steady and the thousand unrecorded sacrifices etched in the shadow between sunrise and duty. He is a mentor— teaching not by lecture but by how he knots rope, how he listens to wind, how he waits for storms to pass before speaking peace into the silence. He is a hero, not for medals, but for staying when it was easier to drift, for being the lighthouse instead of the ship. He is a sage— half myth, half man, with eyes that remember what we haven’t yet lived, and words that arrive like flares in the dark when the stars refuse to show themselves. And yes, he is a comedian too, smuggling laughter into hardship like contraband joy, teaching us that even legends should know how to laugh at their own echoes. He is all these things— and somehow, still more. #fathersday #happyfathersday #menslivesmatter #mensmentalhealthawareness #mensmentalhealthmatters #grandpa #granddad

Ohio gave us one of those in-between days—where 50° makes you question everything. The kind of day that feels like a memory. The park filled up with old friends, the ones who disappear with the cold and return with the thaw. Boards rolling, laughter echoing—like winter never happened. Spring doesn’t just change the weather. It brings people back. #skateeverdamnday #OhioSkateboarding #SpringIsComing #BackOnBoard #skateboarding
