normally don’t like dark spaces but I’ve been wanting to experience Undercurrents by @lozanohemmer

it was beyond calming & inspirational. what a beautiful way to use houston structures & waterways.

i love spaces that also remind me of some of my fave movies. i saw the colors of tron, matrix & queen of the damned. i can imagine music, performance & fashion in this space.

Maravilloso!

✨ Herencia is NOW accepting art exhibition & performance submissions ✨

For the artist interested: The purpose of this exhibition is to celebrate how rhythm and movement [music & dance] have shaped your perspective & has influenced your artwork as a Latin, Afrolatin, Hispanic artist.

How has music and dance shaped you from dancing all night at abuelitas house during a family fiesta to listening to your parents cleaning playlist playing the classics on a Sunday morning?

Our programming is centered around the evolution and impact of salsa to tie in with rhythm and movement that the music evokes in us all. Musicians and dancers are welcomed to submit their performances to be considered for events we will be hosting.

📍OPEN BEYOND HTX CITY LIMITS

👉🏼LINK in BIO with timeline and submission info. NOTE deadline for submission July 26th 😇

We are excited & grateful to showcase in the beautiful @flatlandgalleryhtx multipurpose art space. Cannot wait to see the vibrant colors and sounds fill the space.

Stay tuned for more info on programming & events 😊 we have surprises for the salsa community & beyond.
