TITLE CARDS FROM EPISODE 1 of THE FUTURE: BEYOND YOUTUBE SERIES. Our series piloted last week that follows the journey of creating my feature film debut. An Afro futuristic world based in future dystopian South Africa. Building the world and the aesthetic of the design has been one of the most interesting learning aspects for me. I feel as a filmmaker, my visual eye, and my narrative storytelling through editing are what I consider my strengths, but this has given me the opportunity to learn and grow my graphic design skills in a way that I’m enjoying more than I thought I would. There’s a very specific kind of RED that appears in all of my projects in this world that I feel is articulated in the fonts and colour. I had fun! Episode two is going to be an exciting one.
