BRONZE CONVERSATION When traditions meet, they create a new language. Some conversations do not need words. In Bronze Conversation, the sculptural memory of European Renaissance tradition meets the geometry, rhythm and symbolism of Nigerian visual culture. Teal and gold evoke permanence and memory. Ona-inspired motifs bring movement, identity and a distinctly African visual language into the dialogue. This is not a clash. It is a conversation. A meeting of two traditions, two histories and different ways of seeing the world. Within ARTNOVATION: Echoes of Renaissance in the Hues of Africa, the work invites us to consider a new Renaissance—not through imitation, but through listening, exchange and the possibilities that emerge when cultures meet. Two traditions. Two histories. One conversation. Artist: Tola Wewe Title: Bronze Conversation Medium: Mixed Media on Canvas Dimensions: 91.4 × 102 cm Year: 2026 Discover the artwork through the Artnovation Digital Museum. African creativity has a story to tell. Are African creatives positioning themselves to tell it to the world? At the @artnovation_studio , Fondazione Luciana Matalon, Foro Buonaparte, Milan, Haoma Worgwu (@haomaworgwu) sat down with Mr. Taiwo Meghoma (@style_with_taiwo) for an insightful conversation on Africa-Europe collaboration opportunities, personal branding in the fashion industry, and the enormous potential of the African market. The discussion explored how young African creatives can leverage their creativity, tell authentic African stories, build influential personal brands, and strategically position themselves for global recognition and opportunities. African creativity is a powerful asset, but transforming it into global influence requires intentionality, visibility, and strategic positioning. 🎥 Watch until the very end for a significant update you would not want to miss! #Artnovation #AfricanCreativity #AfricaEuropeCollaboration #PersonalBranding #FashionIndustry

90 YEARS OF GOD’S FAITHFULNESS | PART 3 🇮🇹❤️ Today brought back so many memories! 📍 Twenty-four years ago, in 2002, Commendatore Giuliano Sottani and his team brought our Nigerian delegation to Piazza del Duomo in Florence. Together with artists from other countries, we explored the city before the international painting competition, immersing ourselves in the theme: “Florence in the Eyes of the World.” Today, upon arriving in Florence for Papa’s 90th birthday, I headed straight back to the Duomo. The morning sun was spectacular! As I walked from Santa Maria Novella towards Piazza del Duomo, I couldn’t help but admire the artist side of God—revealed in the breathtaking skies, the clouds in their extraordinary shapes and forms, and the beautiful interplay of light, architecture, and nature. For a moment, I took it all in. Twenty-four years later, Florence still inspires me, reminding me that creativity is everywhere when we learn to see. Next stop: the beautiful Greve in Chianti, where my Italian Papa awaits! ❤️ Oh, how I love Tuscany! 🇮🇹✨ To be continued… #90YearsOfGodsFaithfulness #FlorenceThroughMyEyes

Echoes of Heritage In this series, titled Echoes of Heritage, I explore the dynamic tension between ancestral craftsmanship and contemporary urban life. The central piece, a large-scale handmade Adire textile, is more than fabric; it is a visual narrative. I have employed traditional oniko (raffia-tie-dye) techniques to create a field of thousands of small, imperfect dots—a metaphor for the shared history and collective labor of my community. This dark, indigo-black cosmic field is dramatically punctuated by three radiant sunburst motifs (Oòrùn) in bold yellow and crimson. These symbols represent energy, clarity, and the individual entrepreneurial spirit—the ‘light’ that illuminates the path forward for the artisan. By draping this vibrant, living creation against the weathered, textured facade of a historic building, I am making a deliberate statement about continuity. The architecture, with its aged stone and decorative balustrades, is a testament to generations of habitation and trade. The Adire, while contemporary, is born from the same soil and spirit as these walls. This work celebrates the symbiotic relationship between cultural preservation and economic empowerment. Each piece of Adire represents a living heritage that sustains livelihoods and strengthens cultural identity. I invite the viewer to see the beauty not just in the patterns, but in the profound resilience and history they embody. The smile of the artisan pictured is the ultimate reflection of this pride and prosperity. . . #explore #xpressionale_afrodesignz #atelewoayo #adire #artist
