In August, Robyn @artonly166 sent me a photo of her lovely pink camellia in full bloom and suggested I paint it. August is late winter in Australia. This is my version. ➡️ for the photo.

I was impressed with Robyn's -- @artonly166 -- watercolor sketch using a palette knife, and I had to give it a go. First attempt was fun, and I will play with the palette knife again! I added some metallic gold for a "posh look!"

"Blossom" found a new home thanks to the @nany_gallery . I painted the background for this as a demo in the cafe. I added the bird after from my own reference photo.

Thanks to @artonly166 for the photos of the demo. (Slide 2)

My plein air painting of the Warrandyte rapids also went to a new home during the Christmas New Year period. Swipe across for some progress shots taken in bad light. As you can see I tend to paint, background to foreground. Large shapes to details. (Slide 3-6)

A huge thanks to all the people who have attended the exhibition. I am so grateful for the continued support and sales.
