I always knew throwing paint at a canvas is therapeutic but there’s a place in @dtlv where they take it and I a whole other level.

I was invited out to @arttherapycafe yesterday to try their Art Rage Workshop and genuinely had SO much fun!

If you’ve never done a paint rage/splatter room before, it’s basically a space where you’re encouraged to throw, fling, drip and splatter paint all over your canvas as a form of creative expression and stress relief.

They had water guns, paintballs and plenty of paint to play with. The paintballs were definitely my favorite. They’re so squishy and satisfying even though I can’t aim to save my life lol.

Eventually the poncho came off and I decided to be part of the art too because… fuck it lol

I genuinely had such a good time and would absolutely do this again. It’s such a fun way to create without worrying about making something “perfect” you just get to play, make a mess and let some shit out.

And they’re always doing different creative events! Today, Sunday September 27th, they’re hosting Yoga + Paint from 1–3 PM 🧘‍♀️🎨 with movement, music, color and painting.
