Last week to visit Agnes Questionmark´s (@agnesquestionmark) ´Exiled in Domestic Life´ at Quadriennale di Roma (@quadriennalediroma) in the section curated by Alessandra Troncone (@aletronk). In Quetionmark´s own words “Pulled back into the tide, searching for a marine creature adrift beyond scientific control. Unidentifiable, shifting between genders, species, evolutions. Underwater — Where my father taught me to become the sea, I found myself again — What is exile when water is your only home? as John Giorno wrote, ‘you got to burn to shin.’ I burn constantly, depleting myself to be born again. The beast is out 💖 6 months in the making with the 2 best partners @agnesquestionmark @arturopassa 🧬🧬CHM13hTERT 🧬🧬 Exhibition by Agnes Questionmark curated by @spazioserra and @theorangegardenco critical text by Arturo Passacantando // project management by @agnese_ghinassi + @arturopassa Viewable from 5/4/2023 to 5/19/2023, 8am to 8pm Inauguration Thursday 4/5/2023 at 19.00 Lancetti station of the Passante railway, Milan CHM13hTERT is a long durational performance by @agnesquestionmark proposed within unpostoIMPOSSibile, a season of exhibitions by spazioSERRA. Using performance, installation and sculpture, Agnes Questionmark creates immersive habitats that question the human body and its relationship with nature, heralding the birth of a new species whose identity is still undefinable. Combining art and scientific research, she explores new hybrid and changing worlds, free from convention, representing the potentiality and fluidity of being. In CHM13hTERT, Agnes Questionmark presents herself as a new hybrid being whose questionable genesis is yet to be defined. Suspended for twelve hours a day for thirteen consecutive days, supported by a metal structure and a series of cables and straps, her body becomes a political vessel that challenges the power relations inherent in our current social structures. Questionmark proposes an image shrouded in mystery, it is not clear if an experiment is being conducted, if an operation is about to be performed or if what we are perceiving is an instance of complex evolution. EL ESPANTO exhibition by @elpelele.elpelele curated by @i.t.e.r.u.m at @galeria.sendros (04/05/2024 - 15/06/2024) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. El Espanto is conceived as an invitation to confront the uncomfortable, but hallucinating facets of terror. To this end, the artist stages symbolic disputes, incorporates the audience as an element, redefines the concept of conflict, and creates a wildly extravagant show. Without judgment nor caution, he summons viewers to question their visceral reactions and creates an occasion for introspection and thoughtful critique. Where the boundaries between fear and fascination dissipate, El Pelele finds its boiling point, and thrives within it. Salò’s performance for Nova Libertatia, taking place at the Forum Theatre, within Ennio Morricone’s historic recording studio complex located beneath the Basilica del Sacro Cuore Immacolato in Rome. In the week following the performance, Salò was kindly invited into Forum Studios to record their contribution for the album edition we are developing in collaboration with @nero_editions - For their session, along with a variety of instruments, they choose to play with the celesta used by Goblin in their soundtrack of Dario Argento’s Suspiria (1977).
