Almost exactly a year ago I was lucky enough to spend a week in Locarno. I don’t know why it took me a whooole year to finally share this and give this experience a little permanent place on my feed. (Stories, of course, were never deprived of my attention, haha.) Because I do things and sometimes never share them or talk about them ( expect 2-4 people ) btw I OPEN FOR PROJECTS haha On June 13, 2025 I got the email confirming that I had been selected one of 8 lucky participants for masterclass organised by @manawa_foundation in collaboration with Locarno Film Festival @filmfestlocarno I still remember sitting at the hairdresser’s, getting ready for the premiere of @auteurcat film, when I received the email. And somehow, one year later, my new friends from all over the world along with dear @haug.annette , and of course our mentor @svencreutzmann are still hanging on my fridge 🫶🏻 It was an unforgettable experience: new people, new friendships (hello 👋🏽 ) and an intense week of working on my photo project - “Apology Booth” photographing strangers, catching them between lectures and screenings, having a cigarette at a party or simply passing by. Then I would ask them to tell me what they regretted, who they would like to apologise to, and photograph them again in that moment. Before / After Its impossible to fit the whole project into a few lines. It was intense not onlybecause every morning started with Sven’s lectures and a review of the previous day, followed by going out “hunting” for strangers, watching films, waving at Panahi, shaking hands with Radu Jude and somehow trying to process everything we were seeing and feeling, but listening stories of the strangers. Together with my them I and we went through an entire spectrum of emotions.

TEAM SPOTLIGHT ⚡ The greatest of huzzahs to our phenomenal camera team on this shoot, led by super talented main Unit cinematographer @arushi.chugh 🎥 Not only navigating impossible terrain, but orchestrating intricate shots (such as day for night) that allow us the ability to take the audience on a journey. An absolute pleasure and joy to be surrounded by their professionalism, beautiful spirit, and expertise. The adventure wouldn't have been what it was without them. Our film A Good Question is screening at BAFTA qualifying Bolton International Film Festival in September. :) last year and early this year it also screened at the amazing Doc Edge NZ and Fipa Doc in France. It was a complicated, difficult, rewarding and inspiring time thinking about and making this work, and I am beyond grateful to the people who were part of the process.
