Prediction does not eliminate risk; it transforms it into a tool of political governance. Across cinema, literature, and science communication, danger is translated through dystopian imaginaries and warning signals, turning fear into a pervasive, sensory condition that precedes rational thought.

Vulcana. Sublimation traces this condition from scientific discourse to the visual and performing arts, bringing together scientists, filmmakers, artists, and scholars to explore strategies for anticipating danger and sublimate them through a process of revelation.

Take a look at the images from the festival’s first days.
