Travel was something I’d always dreamt about, but never thought it would happen for me. We had booked numerous holidays that always fell through for one reason or another when we lived in the states. Once we moved to Europe, it’s like our luck had changed! I’m blessed to be able to have seen and visited all the places I have. I can’t wait to see where we go next xx

What started out visiting Alek in one state, turned into: getting the honor of watching him get his black belt, the opportunity to see my girls for a few hours, and my bestie Meg stopping in to see me!!! 🫶🏼

2026 Team Lovato OKC Annual Picnic & Promotions 🥋❤️‍🔥

This past Saturday we had our annual team celebration at the park with friends & family from @lovatobjjmma @lovatojjsouthside @lovatojiujitsunorthside. It is always special to get everyone together, but what made the day even more special was the amount of incredible students who received promotions including a record of 7 Black Belts!!! 👏👏👏

I couldn’t be more proud of the way these people live the true martial arts life. Always learning, always looking for challenges to help them grow, sharing their knowledge with everyone around them, lifting others up with positive energy, & continuing to show up despite what life throws at them. Everyone has their own journey of ups, downs, & curveballs but one thing always remains constant, Jiu-Jitsu! 🥋♾️

Many of these people are instructors at my academy & are some of the best friends & training partners I have ever had. I am very grateful to share my craft with such amazing people & even more grateful for how they motivate me to give my best day in & day out. They make me better & they make everyday on the mats a special day 🙏❤️

Big congratulations to the newest @lovatojjassociation Black Belts:

Every Saturday at @lovatobjjmma has looked like this for nearly three decades 🔥🔥🔥

Since I was 15yrs old & competing regularly I started a competition training practice that I would run at our academy in Oklahoma City. I wanted to work hard & dedicate myself to my preparation so I recruited as many students as I could to come in to scrap & do lots of physical training & conditioning. I was only a teenager but I was the leader of the group which was all adults. Now, here I am almost 30yrs later & nothing has changed… 💪🥋♾️

Of course these days I am much more strategic & intelligent with my approach especially since the majority of the guys in there are 30yrs plus, but the goal is still the same, push yourself to your limits not just for the physical & the technical but to develop the strongest mind possible & tap into your purpose & potential 🧠❤️‍🔥

It always happens that while I’m leading everyone else, I’m also preparing for my own individual challenges. I will regularly lead competition training for my Gi competitors, professional MMA fighters, & also run my own intense practice at the same time for professional grappling. It can be exhausting to push myself so hard & also have the energy to lead, teach, & motivate everyone else but I wouldn’t have it any other way 💯

In this practice from a couple of weeks ago I am training for my @onechampionship match, helping @felipecostajj prepare for @adccworld, & getting my team ready for @ibjjf Master Worlds all in the same session…

I am excited to be here in Thailand about to compete, but I am sad to not be with my @lovatojjassociation team in Vegas for Masters. It feels a little weird to not be there, but I am hoping we can inspire each other from afar with our performances.

Sending my love & warrior spirit to all my students & affiliate instructors around the world who are going to battle in Vegas! Let’s go!!! 🔥🔥🔥

Master Worlds ‘26
Competition week is here. Another successful camp in the books and the goal is the same as it’s been the last 10 times I’ve done this competition. 1st Place. World Champion.

This camp was extremely successful. I had to get creative and change up my schedule quite a bit as my kids are older, my work is more demanding, and life just being busier. Not getting to train in the evenings as much and having to do more mornings and lunch times. That being said, I worked as hard this year as I’ve ever worked and feel free to go out and put on the best performance I’ve ever given. At the end of the day, that’s what it’s about. Nutrition and strength and conditioning are on point and I can not wait to leave it all on the mat this week.

Huge thanks to my lovely wife @robinokc who works just as hard as I do this time of year. My brother @lovatojrbjj and @lovatobjjmma, @beboutrobert and @gabe_campbell at @lovatojjsouthside, @jacobstacyjj and the @okccombat guys, and every single one of my training partners over the last 9 months!

Let’s get it!!!

This last Saturday me, @xbvrt, and @collincruzz got invited down to OKC by @aryry_bjj for the opportunity to train with @lovatojrbjj at his homebase and received some of the best comp training I’ve ever experienced since I began training jiujitsu as a 7yo. Truly phenomenal

It was my first time in OKC and I hope to back out there again soon🙏🏼

Also I couldn’t wish for a better sponsor to wear @gaidama.usa while getting rag dolled by @lovatojrbjj

Travel soothes something deep in my soul. It reminds me how big this world is, how much beauty exists beyond the familiar, and how alive I feel when I’m discovering it. I’ve never been meant to stay in one place for too long. There are too many streets to wander, sunsets to chase, and stories waiting to be lived.
