POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’m sure there are slicker ways of sharing this but here is the talk I gave on John Ash’s photographs of Bastar @bridges_for_conscious_travel by @rareindia Thank you so much to @yshobawanders @josephpassah @meanderingshobs for your generosity with space to display the photos and support at every juncture . And to Shivani and @asadlalljee of @avidlearning for amazing help consolidating the talk.

I return to Bastar next week where @diptiogre and @shakeel_rizvi continue their loving and enthusiastic support helping me find the people in these photos and reuniting them with images of themselves from fifty years ago. During which time their culture and lives have changed irrevocably.

Through our curatorial vision, the Royal Opera House Mumbai has become a multidisciplinary venue, bringing together music, dance, theatre, literature, cinema, comedy, storytelling, fashion and more under one roof.

From showcasing the best international artists and traditions to Mumbai audiences, giving emerging artists a stage alongside established names, creating programmes for children and making space for diverse voices, languages and forms, we’ve sought to make the arts more accessible, inclusive and part of everyday cultural life.

What was your favourite show at the Royal Opera House Mumbai? Tell us in the comments!

At ‘Satish Gujral at 100: Art, Architecture, and Cultural Memory’, we brought together Vishal K Dar, Ranjit Hoskote and Mrinalini Ghadiok, in conversation with Feroze Gujral, to explore the many dimensions of Satish Gujral’s multidisciplinary practice.

From the sculptural qualities of his architecture to the role of archives and memory in understanding his legacy, the discussion offered fresh perspectives on an artist who continually pushed creative boundaries.

Thank you to our speakers and everyone who joined us for this insightful evening, presented as part of the ongoing exhibition ‘Satish Gujral: The Modernist Returns’.

The exhibition is on view until 20 November 2026 at NGMA Mumbai. Do check it out!

Today marks 10 years since we first reopened our doors, bringing this historic landmark back to life and reimagining it as a home for the arts.

Over the past decade, our stage has welcomed artists, ideas and art forms from across the world, creating new memories while honouring the heritage that makes this space so special.

We’re deeply grateful to our artists, collaborators, cultural partners and audiences who have been part of this journey.

Bombay Exibition 1880s- 1920's. These Photos captures a fascinating, forgotten chapter of Mumbai's social In the era before cinema halls became mainstream in India during the 1920s, these grand exhibitions served as the primary, highly anticipated "big night out" for the residents of Bombay.
A rare visual record of exhibitions and amusement attractions that once entertained residents of colonial Bombay. During the British Raj, public exhibitions were regularly organized for both Europeans and Indians, serving as showcases for new consumer goods, industrial innovations, handicrafts, and cultural displays. These large gatherings were not only commercial events but also important social occasions, drawing thousands of visitors eager to experience the latest products and attractions.
Temporary amusement parks, complete with elaborate pavilions and water-themed entertainments, provided a welcome escape from everyday life in one of British India's busiest port cities.

Rohit Saraf on the cover of The AltBollywood Zine, 2026. No reinvention arc. No comeback narrative. Just a slow, unbothered climb that nobody can date the start of.

Full issue at the link in bio.

Every page you scrolled, someone sat with it longer than you did.

Kenneth Hopkins. Vishal Waghela. Shiva Sundar Murugan. Jaynil Baria. Tharakeshwaran M.

One issue, this crew. Link in bio.

One reel from Paris Fashion Week & Aishwarya Rai Bachchan takes October. 3.8 Million views, No.1 done.

But the real flex is at No. 2 Sai Pallavi’s Ramayana promo pulled a 46.75% engagement rate off 1.8M views, with the comments section just repeating queen like a chant.

Rukmini Vasanth, Bhagyashri Borse, Alia, Varun, Ranveer, Thalapathy Vijay, Rajinikanth & Salman round it out. Salman close at ten, mostly because the internet spent Bigg Boss 29 roasting his outfits.

From the warm edges of dear Zindagi 2 Rishi Singh Shekhawat to a stardom nobody can pinpoint the start.

Rohit Saraf never manufactured his rise he just kept showing up, tender and an industry that treats tenderness like a weakness. Mismatched made it a generational thing. Vikram Vedha proved it wasn’t a one-note act.

In a business constantly negotiating the currency of celebrity, he made sincerity the spectacle.

Our Founder & Editor-In-Chief has written a book.

Kenneth Hopkins unveiled the cover of Epimemetix, his debut, during his visit to Vandre Paschim Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal in Mumbai. The occasion was graced by Hon. Adv. Ashish Shelar, Cabinet Minister for Electronics, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Cultural Affairs, Government of Maharashtra and MLA from Vandre West. Adv. Johan Dharmai and Adv. Nolencia Pereira-Dharmai were present too, with family and friends.

Epimemetix sits where Indocentric culture meets technological innovation, on how ideas, identity and technology shape societies and bend the course of history. An Indian lens on the forces that made our past and are quietly writing our future.

Pre-orders are open. Details in the October issue, link in bio.

Every cultural renaissance needs more than good stories. It needs the infrastructure to carry them past the
