A @13_peaks Birthday Bonanza! It's closer to my next birthday 🫣 but I've been sad that I never got these photos together of two of my favorite days ever!

An introverts dream birthday party... I got my friends to join me and Jono for sections of a 100k 13 peaks party which we did over two Saturdays to makes sure no one had any excuses 😅

I think of these two days so often and I always feel so damn lucky to have such wonderful people around me ♥️ and such magical (and brutal) mountains to go play on! 🌄⛰️

LEAP TRAINING SCHEDULE & MEMBERSHIP 🏃‍♂️

Here's a sneak peek of our training schedule and membership options - save it so you can quickly come back to it 🚀

With 8 varied sessions a week, including running, strength, and recovery, you'll have a full roster that supports your training, goals, and wellbeing 🏃

One of the things we love about running is that it is a practice. It isn’t an outcome. Yes we often aim at outcomes like races and faster times or further distances but what makes running really special is it’s a practice of showing up and being in your body and experiencing the reality of what is happening in you physically, emotionally and mentally on any given day. This has been a deeply rewarding practice in our own lives. It is also a nourishing thing to practice alone.

But it is even more rewarding and you go much further when running is practiced in community.
Where people know what you are working towards. Where people ask about your latest race. Where you can commiserate on a tough race and celebrate a successful one. Where you can push hard with your friends on a Tuesday morning and laugh about it over coffee afterwards.

Our ambition with LEAP is to create a space where you can deepen your practice of running with other people. Whatever that means to you. We aim to provide the structure, community and guidance so that you can train using the most scientifically validated methods. You can train with other people. You can form deeper relationships. You have access to resources that expand your knowledge about running and training. And you have access to some cool benefits and perks that make running less expensive overall for you.

We want to provide more value to you than what you will pay to us. That’s the goal we are committed to 🚀

We're excited to relaunch our @sealandgear Saturday runs from The Campus, and on 17/10 we'll be linking up with the @slowandsteadycpt crew, to bring you either a road or trail option 🌊

We're also back with one of our favourite events, the Beer Mile, for a halloween, trail edition on 31/10 this time round - we can't wait to share more about this next week! 🍻

On Monday 5 October, we'll be launching the LEAP training crew - creating a space for you to train and connect with others while working towards similar goals, offering you up to 8 sessions per week led by certified running coaches at a ridiculously low price point. Keep your eyes open for more announcements 👀

PUFfeR 65km, from Cape Point gate to Green Point. The most fun I’ve had running a race (and ultra)!

A day where everything fell into place - a strong training block with some PBs during training, an ambitious race plan, support from family and friends along the way, cooler race day weather, staying on top of hydration and fuel, and sticking to the said ambitious plan. Vibes were high from start to finish and I’m really proud of how I ran this day.

What a privilege it is to be able to run far and call it fun, fully realising my definition of fun is wildly warped.

Oh, and also managed to do my marathon & 50km PB and finish 1h15 minutes faster than UTD 62km (both with ~2000m vert).

So stoked to finally get involved in this event, it is growing rapidly and what a privilege it is to race on the stunning trails!

It was so special to share the top step and the route with Brandon, pushing each other on that course, then the finish line celebrations were that much sweeter when @didier.devilliers came charging in to claim third!

Shoutout to @hoka.southafrica and the speedgoat 7 which ate up the technical trails of Montagu. Thanks to @openfuel fur fueling me with the most potent rocket fuel on the market

Thanks for the awesome shots 📸 @starting.tosee
