Chicago and Styx far exceeded my expectations! I love nothing more than an exciting night out with my hot hubby, my friends, up close live music, and then coming home with multiple souvenirs from the stage!

Two shows with my own band and then this amazing concert. What a much needed wild weekend!

Today is our silver anniversary! 🤍 25 years!

Andy and I met when we were 18 years old. Neither of us was looking for a serious relationship, so when we met, after he had already received his mission call to Moscow, Russia, we thought we were safely in the clear.
We figured we would date, have fun together, and then he would leave on his mission.

Well…in addition to dating and having fun, we fell in love. Very quickly.
We dated for about two months before he left.
We didn’t expect to fall in love.
We didn’t expect to write to each other every week for two years. (We still have every letter!)
And we definitely didn’t expect to be married within seven months of him coming home.
Nobody expected it, but that is exactly what happened. I feel incredibly lucky that we found each other when we did.

Marrying Andy was the best decision of my life.
Andy has the qualities I truly need in a life partner. He is one of the most forgiving people I have ever known. He has a rare ability to look beyond the difficult parts of people and focus on the good in them. I have been the recipient of his patient, accepting, nonjudgmental way of loving, and I have definitely needed that!

He is such a calming and peaceful presence in my life. He brings out the best in me and loves me with all of my flaws, complexity, and humanness. I love to see how much passion is inside of him. When he chooses to do something, he does it all the way and is so dedicated. He works incredibly hard for the things he cares about, somehow while maintaining a sense of calm that is completely unmatched.

His infectious laugh was one of the first things that caught my attention…along with his stunning blue eyes, easygoing personality, humility, and sense of humor.
As I got to know him, I discovered his fierce loyalty, honesty, trustworthiness, deep love for all things good, and commitment to God.

25 years later, Andy is still the perfect life partner for me.
I love him so much, and I am so grateful for the beautiful and fulfilling life we have created together. He has taken such good care of me over the years and I can’t wait for all that is still to come!

Jess turned 21! I am so proud of the work this amazing girl has done to get to where she is.
Jess is a strong woman with strong opinions and a strong personality and she is doing amazingly well.
She and her partner Ethan share a birthday week and we all got to celebrate together.

Hack 19
We have loved traveling with Andy’s high school buddies this week! They have all stayed friends and started traveling together many years ago, and sometimes they invite the wives. They call themselves “The Hack.” The bonds we all have formed are priceless to me.

These friends are all so incredible and I feel so lucky to be part of such an inspiring and solid group of people.

We conquered Kauai this week, all 24 of us (missing a few who couldn’t make it). These friends are so important to me and Andy. Feeling refreshed and happy and relaxed, and not at all ready to go home.

Happy Birthday to this handsome man of mine!
Andy is always up for anything and does it all with a smile on his face. He has made life with him a party and full of adventure that I love—from traveling, to concerts (sometimes even traveling for concerts), to dancing, boating, last-minute overnighters, and just about anything you can think of—he’s up for it!

His endless positivity is inspiring. His contagious laugh lights up a room, and I’m a lucky woman to have him by my side.

The SLC tour stop was as incredible as it’s always been. Thank you to the team and the sponsors and the artists who perform and everyone who makes this event possible! We are so grateful for those who donate time and money to make LOVELOUD happen and make it such a moving event for all who attend.
Here are a few shots from the stop in SLC!
I have to thank my husband for all the support he lends me as I spend months preparing for LOVELOUD each year. Thanks to everyone involved that makes this a huge success every time. Spreading love and acceptance and celebrating our LGBTQ friends and family is a passion of mine, I’m lucky to be part of an organization that focusses on it so heavily!

My first baby girl moved out today. It is so exciting and surreal, and kinda sad at the same time. She’s ready. She has been ready for years. Syd has always been the kid that hung with the adults, that understood adult things at a young age, and was always beyond her years. She is an old soul. She found some friends to move into an apartment with and is killing it in her 19 year old life! I am SO proud of her! Love you Syd!!! Come visit :)
