Books I Would Pay The Toll Goblin🧌

I had so much fun picking these books and deciding what to pair them with! There are definitely some books I’d happily part with and some I’d rather die than give away lol 😅

I’ve tagged some friends but feel free to recreate!

What books would you pay the toll goblin with? 📖

#bookish #booksta #bookstagram #bookishrecs #booksbooksbooks

The Fair Payment- a good book I could part with

I wouldn’t be too sad to part with this book, but I would miss it, and I think it’s a worthy payment for passage

The Two For One- a series I could get rid of

The Wilmot Series was one of my favs but I don’t need to read it again, and I really only enjoyed the first book tbh

The Steal- a book I’d happily give away

Okay so first off I literally have donated this book😭 but I would 100% throw this book at the toll goblin and run away cackling

The Robbery- a book I NEVER want to part with

I’d fight to the death to keep this book tbh

The Trade- a book I would trade to get

I really want to get this book and I’d be willing to barter for it 🙂‍↕️

Expectations book trend!📖

Here are books that met my expectation, exceeded my expectations, failed to meet my expectations, and that I am very hopeful will meet my expectations! 💟 This trend is so cute and I have to thank @books.nookie for doing it! I’ve taken a couple friends but feel free to re-create!💜

I was very glad that heated rivalry lived up to my expectations after seeing the show, same with the cruel prince and if it makes you happy because so many people had recommended them to me! Come out come out with a really fun read and I enjoyed it, same with not in love.

All of these books blew me away, but Alchemised specifically is so much better than I could’ve imagined. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I actually enjoyed Quicksilver given it’s bad reputation, and caught up took me completely off guard but I love it. The watermark is a book that I would highly highly recommend to anybody who loves magical realism, I read it in about two days after reading the back and I thought it was amazing.

Deep end was really letdown for me because I was hoping for a truly kinky book and instead I got vanilla fifty shades kinky- but I did enjoy the characters. Our strange duets- omg SUCH a letdown, why is this book YA???? and why is it literally not different from the original story in anyway? I do blame the marketing for for this one because I think I went into it thinking it was something completely different, but the narrative around it is very misleading.

The irresistible urge is not bad and I did like it, it just didn’t quite enthrall me like some of the other adaptions did I fear. And all I want and just one bite are terrible books lol

I am really excited for all of these, but I have very high hopes that I will like tour season and yesteryear!! Lmk if you’ve read any of these and what you think!

🤍Cosy bear tag🧸

First things first let’s get this out of the way, I don’t care how old you are, plushies are the best thing on earth. On this account, we do not shame people who sleep with plushies at 22 years old (or older lol) 🙂‍↕️

Now that that’s done, enjoy this cute little cosy trend that I’ve been waiting to do forever!☁️🧸 I’ve tagged some friends, but feel free to re-create!

Everyone meet Draco, he is a bear with a dragon onesie and he’s so cuteee! Draco is one of probably hundreds of plushies that I have lol, and I always love showing them off in my posts!💟

Do you have a favourite plushie? If so, introduce them in the comments!💬🤍

✨ Welcome to the Riot, @julies.bookish.life ! 📚🔥

From one life-changing ACTOR moment to diving headfirst into the incredible world of Bookstagram, Julie officially enters the Riot! ❤️

What started as a love for books quickly turned into a passion for connecting with readers, hyping up authors, and creating a space where stories truly matter. Julie brings authentic reader energy, thoughtful recommendations, and a reminder of why this community is so special. 📖✨

This week, Born From The Broken by @julieanna_mac takes the spotlight! When asked Julie why this her five star pick, Julie Shares, “Currently, my favourite novel is Born From the Broken by Julieanna Mac. I would give this book six stars if I could! I was incredibly lucky to read this book as my very first ARC (Advanced Reader Copy). This is Julieanna’s debut novel, and she killed it. The novel is a beautifully written dark romantasy with lyrical and captivating writing. I loved how the main characters were mostly in their 30s, because their stories became far more complex. It has all the familiar tropes - slow‑burn romance, a corrupted ruler, trials, hidden identities - but trust me… this is anything but your typical romantasy. I can’t wait for the next book, because I need to know what happens next!”
