Families are MOST successful when they abide by the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The gospel of Christ is for ALL of God’s children, and it has the power to bless anyone who chooses to accept it and live its teachings.

True and lasting happiness comes as we follow Christ, abide by the principles taught in the Family Proclamation, and allow the gospel to deepen our joy, guide our actions, and enrich our relationships.

This is a family-centered gospel, and families are strengthened through it.

But some may say, “What about my family? Mine has fallen apart.”

That is where the hope of the gospel becomes even more powerful.

We are ALL part of God’s eternal family. Even if you are the only person in your family choosing to live the gospel, keep your covenants, and follow Christ, your faithfulness still matters. You can continue to bless your family now and throughout the eternities.

The choices of others do not cancel the promises God has made to you.

And ultimately, because of Jesus Christ, all that is unfair, broken, lost, or painful can be made right. The law of compensation teaches us that no faithful sacrifice, hardship, or loss will ultimately go unanswered.

So regardless of what your family looks like right now—remain faithful.

Keep your covenants. Keep following Christ. Keep building your home on His gospel.

Because God’s promises are not limited by your current family circumstances.

Through Jesus Christ, no faithful effort is wasted, no righteous blessing is ultimately lost, and all that is broken can one day be made right.

"Yet, whatever your personal circumstance, you are part—a key part—of the family of God and of your own family, whether in the future, in this world, or in the spirit world. Your trust from God is to nurture as many of His and your family members as you can with your love and your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ."

What is General Conference? It’s a chance to hear messages about Jesus Christ, faith, and finding hope and direction in everyday life.

Latter-day Saints believe Jesus Christ leads His Church through living prophets and apostles, and that their messages are meant to bless all of God’s children—not only members of our Church. If you’re not a member, you’re still welcome!

General Conference is October 3–4. Watch live at ChurchofJesusChrist.org or search “General Conference” on YouTube. We’d love for you to join us. 🤍

2nd principle of Doctrine of Christ is Repentance… After we develop faith, we then will be led by our desire to follow Christ we will be led to Repent!
“Too many people consider repentance as punishment—something to be avoided. But this feeling of being penalized is engendered by Satan. He tries to block us from looking to Jesus Christ, who stands with open arms, hoping and willing to heal, forgive, cleanse, strengthen, purify, and sanctify us.” -President Russell M. Nelson

Many people will read 1 corinthians 11:27-29 and read we must examine ourselves. The restored gospel provides further revelation that when a serious sin is committed the bishop must work with you to know when you’re worthy.

“But that’s ridiculous to place your worthiness in the hands of a man.” I’ve heard and probably will hear… But here is the thing, it’s actually a blessing. MANY people are way to hard on themselves, myself included and if I chose my own length of time or time I need to refrain I likely would have made myself wait 6 months longer than my bishop did. Having a priesthood leader to tell me I was worthy to enter Gods house on my wedding day was a blessing that I needed to hear. There are MANY blessings of having someone who has the ability to hold you accountable.
3 Nephi 18:29
Mormon 9:29 “See that ye partake not of the sacrament of Christ unworthily; see that ye partake not of it unto damnation; but partake of it with repentance of heart...”

Let’s speak of repentance with joy! Because of Christ we can be forgiven and change our very natures to be in line with what he desires. It’s a good thing to repent. It’s a blessing. I’m trying every day to change who I am and because of Christ I feel hope as I continue to change my natural man to become a “new creature”…

You can’t say all the things in 3 minutes…

Love God, love your neighbor, love women, love innocent life, be involved in civic matters, be a peacemaker.

Do everything you can to help women and our health care AND do everything you can for the almost a MILLION of innocent lives that are lost each year. They matter too. They need our voice because they don’t have one. This is why I’m voting NO on Question 6 for Nevada.

In all of this I remember the words of our prophet, @dallinhoaks “One of the many reasons you will need the constant influence of the Holy Ghost is that you live in a season where the adversary has become so effective at disguising truth that if you don’t have the Holy Ghost, you will be deceived.”

My Fellow Idahoans. (ADDING NEVADA TOO-I don’t live there but Nevada needs to vote no)

It’s clear satan is working overtime to diminish the sanctity of life. Our state (through a citizen initiative) is trying to change abortion state laws, but the church has always been clear on the abortion stance.

We … declare that God has commanded that the sacred powers of procreation are to be employed only between man and woman, lawfully wedded as husband and wife.

“We declare the means by which mortal life is created to be divinely appointed. We affirm the sanctity of life and of its importance in God’s eternal plan.”

“Nurturing and protecting life that is yet unborn is not a political position. It is a moral law confirmed by the Lord through His prophets.” -Elder Anderson

This is a moral law, NOT a political stance.
