Several of our on-staff veterinarians hit the road to attend the Western Veterinary Conference (WVC) in Nashville! They connected with vets from across the country and shared more about our real human-grade food and treats. There was also some clay poop making (more on that to come).

We actually met while working together at a vet med clinic.

I’m the shy, awkward introvert, and she’s the happy, outgoing extrovert who basically adopted me and took me under her wing. I think every introvert needs an extrovert who’s willing to drag them out of the house every once in a while.

We really bonded when she mentioned she was getting into reading. My ears immediately perked up and I was like, “WAIT… you’re a reader?!”

Naturally, I started throwing recommendations at her. I introduced her to ACOTAR, and she introduced me to Zodiac Academy.

Fast forward almost two years, and now we’re constantly buddy reading, blowing up each other’s phones with live reactions, enabling each other’s book-buying habits, and somehow making our already out-of-control TBRs even bigger.

Honestly, having someone to scream over fictional characters with makes reading so much more fun. 🖤

Attended Terror at the Gates release event with @ashleysbooksandsips and @abi_baiza630 that was hosted by @inbloombookery featuring Scarlett St. Clair in conversation with Laura Thalassa 🌙📚🥀

I had such a great time and genuinely left feeling so inspired.

Even though I haven’t had the chance to read books by either author yet (although several are already on my TBR 😭), hearing them speak today instantly made me a fan of both of them.

Their conversation touched on such deep topics surrounding womanhood, strength, storytelling, and the power fantasy and romance books can have on readers. I honestly left feeling really empowered and reminded why I love reading so much in the first place 🖤

And after hearing more about Terror at the Gates… a dark romance reimagining centered around Lilith?? SIGN ME UP IMMEDIATELY 😭🥀
