overall, i enjoyed this one! as usual, the writing and storytelling were magical, beautiful and captivating. her stories always pull me in and keep me addicted. this is definitely a page turner and can easily hook you in.

my main issues are that our fmc Holland was entirely too trusting and the book ended leaving me very confused. Holland ignored so many extremely obvious red flags in so many people, shrugged her shoulders and continued on. The book also ended with a bunch of unanswered plot points and questions. Im just overall very confused because so many things that are essential to the plot and flow of this story just never got answered and im just like.. ??

what im currently reading:
☁️alchemy of secrets by stephanie garber
-im about 80-ish% into this one and i love it. hoping i can finish this one tomorrow. stephanie’s storytelling is so beautiful and addicting in this one. there hasn’t been a point where its felt slow or dragged on. it has all been page turners for me. im not sure if this is going to be a series or if its a standalone, so im curious to see how this one ends because there seem to be so many mysteries unfolding throughout. it also mentioned elizabeth taylor in the book which is why i chose this song LOL

☁️the academy by elin hilderbrand and shelby cunningham
-Im about halfway through this one and i have mixed feelings. its your typical elin with lots of drama, but there are way too many povs where im getting confused. we are getting students, teachers, and students parents povs in this one, and it seems too much. it jumps around a lot and i get a bit confused, but i am enjoying the story. not sure what the plot is or if this is just a character study, but hopefully it gets revealed soon haha

☁️blue sisters by coco mellors
-im also about halfway through this one and im enjoying it. its very heartbreaking and frustrating at times, but i think grief is captured very well and how its shown differently through different people. as one of 4 sisters, i thought it would be fun to read a book about 4 sisters, but its actually pretty sad. i do love how the sisterhood bond is shown through and how special it is

the life of a show girl as books (part 1)🪩🎤⭐️

THIS ALBUM IS SO GOOD!!!!! My favorites are definitely CANCELLED!, the fate of ophelia, and opalite, but i LOVE THEM ALL. she killed this.

i can definitely see these book characters relating to these songs, or the book as a whole reminds me of the song! some obvious don’t add up perfectly and are more loosely related, but they make sense in my head!! if you don’t agree, don’t tell me that haha.

hi lovelies!!! hope everyone is having a wonderful week! i want to be in complete fall mode but it’s still 100° out in texas so i must wait to employ peak coziness 😫. excited to share my week!!

📖: a gathering of shadows by @veschwab <3 savoring this one for sure, but i’m also reading slow as a turtle because i’ve been doing so many other things!!

📺: i have finally been convinced… to catch up on tsisp. i have been stuck on s1 since 2023 but decided to finally pick it back up and dare i say i think my boyfriend is almost as committed as i am? hoping to catch up by next ep!! ive already read the books so not much has been spoiled for me but these episodes are so new now!!

doing: my friends and i are trying to do a mile every day in september RUNNING, so i have been on my running journey again. i feel like i lost all of my stamina when i stopped running previously but i am excited to continue to make progress!!

looking forward to: booking flights + planning activities for my trip home to boston, as well as finishing my current read!! in my book, things are really starting to pick up so i’m super excited to get cozy tonight and read <3. also, planning a little fall get together with friends! i love hosting so the thought of planning little fall-ish things to do together makes me so giddy. :’-)
