YOU SOLD OUT THE FIRST ONE. 👽✨ Which means I am officially adding a SECOND Theremania Theremin Workshop! If you’ve ever wondered how the heck someone plays an instrument without touching it, this is your chance to find out—and actually try it yourself. We’ll learn how the theremin works, how to control pitch and volume with your hands, and how to make music with your whole body. No musical experience necessary. Five theremins. Maximum weirdness. Part science experiment, part music lesson, part tiny portal into another dimension. The first workshop filled up, so if you’ve been thinking about it… 👀 NEW WORKSHOP: October 3 · 4PM Virago Alley Limited spots. 🎟️ Tickets are live now. #Theremania #Theremin #ThereminWorkshop #RichmondVA

Incredibly honored to have been trusted by the amazing board of directors @gallery5arts to resurface these gallery walls in this beautiful historic fire station. As a former employee and current regular of this establishment, I couldn’t be more happy to be a part of what goes into keeping an amazing local gallery/ venue alive and thriving. Thank you so so much. #longlivegallery5

A pic of Ash and me before the night began and things got a little crazy for both of us. Manifesting a space, a vision, a goal. That’s how I operate. The goal comes first, and then you do what you need to do and build what you need to build to get there. I still can’t believe we made all of this happen in only a year and a half. Thank you, Richmond, for helping us reclaim this space and for showing up for this new nonprofit the way you have. And most importantly, thank you, Ash. You know none of this manifesting could have become a reality without ya, kid. ❤️

Seeing this tapestry by @scrapptorium_rva hanging in our new headquarters brings tears to my eyes. For the Richmond Ren Faire, Cheryn surprised us with this hand-painted tapestry telling the story of the @rvarenfaire founding and somehow managed to capture not just the milestones, but the people, personalities, little details, and magic that made this whole wild journey what it is. It begins with me in my little yellow house, gathered around the table with friends and dreamers for one of our first real brainstorming sessions, almost like our own Knights of the Round Table. An idea being passed around a room, not knowing yet just how big it would become. Then comes our March 2025 launch outside of Gallery5. Our first Warriors in Bloom at Agecroft Hall. Surviving the winter months together as we worked toward April 2026. And woven throughout it all are so many familiar faces and characters who became part of our story and helped us get here. And the details absolutely wreck me. She got my braids. She got my bow. Ash is there with their pink hair. Even Pixel and I are featured frolicking through the forests. ❤️ This piece means the world to me. I don’t think I’ve ever had someone capture the history of something I helped create in quite this way. Looking at it feels like watching our own little mythology unfold before us, except we actually lived it. Cheryn is a true scribe and storyteller, documenting our lore and history in real time and turning the memories we’ve made together into something that can live beyond us. To see all of those moments gathered into one piece, and now hanging in the headquarters of what we dreamed into existence, is incredibly emotional. Humbled doesn’t even begin to cover it. ❤️

We ❤️ you, Richmond!!! Thank you to everyone who donated to the 🔥HEAT WAVE🔥 fundraiser. We are currently sitting at 85% of our goal and today is the LAST DAY to make a gift toward the campaign. Help us reach our goal of raising $10,000 this month to help us through our slow season. Gallery5 is held together by an entire community of passionate people who care deeply about carving out a space for artists to have a platform that is accessible. This space has served as a launch pad for the arts at a grassroots level for more than two decades and it is through the support of everyday people like you that the space continues to serve that purpose. Please consider a donation today in an amount that is meaningful to you. Every little bit helps ❤️ 👉Visit the link in our bio to donate today! - 📸: Thank you to @jeetspics for the photos 🔥

We’ve got two new items added to the mix for tomorrow’s raffle! Thank you to @georgearch and @cornhoof for donating your pieces from the most recent River City Rails exhibition, and to @street_claw for rallying. We appreciate this community for continuing to show up for Gallery5, it really does take a village to hold spaces like this together. Raffle tickets are $5 and available through the HEAT WAVE fundraising campaign link in our bio! The winners will be drawn tomorrow at the benefit concert. If you are not in attendance but your ticket is chosen, you will be contacted following the event. We are over 80% to our goal for this campaign and with two days left to go, we have a pretty good shot of closing out strong. Thank you to everyone for your support to help us through the summer scaries. We 🖤 you, Richmond!
