Not only are eggs perfect for breakfast, they are also amazing in comforting dishes like egg drop soup.

This classic soup is made with simple ingredients and is a light, healthy way to get in your protein.

Ingredients:
-4 cups chicken broth
-1 clove garlic, minced
-3 eggs
-1/2 tsp soy sauce
-2 tsp chicken bouillon powder
-1 tsp sesame oil
-White or black pepper, to taste
-Salt or MSG, to taste
-2 tbsp cornstarch + 1/4 cup water (slurry)
-1/3 cup frozen peas

Instructions: In a bowl, crack the eggs and whisk with MSG and chicken bouillon powder. In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch with water to make a slurry. Bring chicken broth to a boil in a pot. Add garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and let the soup thicken slightly. Stir the broth in one direction, then slowly pour in the egg mixture to create ribbons. Add peas and season with salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy!

For food safety, always cook egg dishes to 160°F.

🍵 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐃𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐚 (𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐥𝐲)

Save this before you make your next cup — because even if you’re using ceremonial grade matcha from Uji, these mistakes are killing your vibe (and your flavor)

1️⃣ Using boiling water- matcha is delicate, not instant noodles. Keep it ~175°F to avoid scorching
2️⃣ Using an electric whisk- easy, but a bamboo whisk (chasen) = better texture + foam.
3️⃣ Savoring your matcha powder- believe me, I’ve done it too! It’s too expensive right? But once opened, your matcha oxidizes. Use within 1–2 months and store it in a cool, shaded place.
4️⃣ Not sifting your matcha- clumps are a crime. Sifting = silky, smooth lattes.
5️⃣ Not using a scale — “eyeballing” = weak or bitter matcha. 2-3g is the sweet spot

Fix these, and your next cup will go from “meh” to mind-blowing.

Our friend @eats_n_noods would always take us along on her IG visits to @satetexas food truck.

We finally got to check them out at their spot in La Frontera, Round Rock, near Daiso and Sweet Memes (perfect for shopping and grabbing some dessert or boba). Their menu is exactly what they do best!

If we could order just a full tray of the beef satay, we'd totally do it. It reminded us of Filipino BBQ—super flavorful, juicy, and tender!! Instant favorite ⭐️.

We also tried the Bakso, which was like a warm hug in a bowl, plus the chicken satay and their yellow rice.

Have you had Indonesian cuisine before? 👇⬇️
