A trust is an agreement that allows one party, known as a trustee, to hold, manage, and direct assets or property on behalf of another party, called the beneficiary.

Trusts are established to provide legal protection for your assets, to make sure those are distributed according to your wishes, and to save time, reduce paperwork and, in some cases, avoid or reduce inheritance or estate taxes.

💯Don’t wait too long to get knowledgeable about that, you may not be ready to create one tomorrow but as you build your successful business, know that you will need to consider protecting and controlling your hard earned assets to pass to your love one’s without hiccups.

In 2016, I and Attorney Omari Crawford launched a scholarship initiative called The Project L.I.F.E. for high school seniors at Southwest DeKalb High School. Five years later, Jason Little joined us to formally organize a non-profit. The three of us are DeKalb County natives and have expanded the initiative to focus on networking and internship opportunities as a way to connect DeKalb County high school seniors with local business owners to give students early exposure to their field of interest. “Job Well Done”

As we dig through the archives of some of the best moments life has given us, we must acknowledge the fact that our time here on this earth is temporary. Memories left behind is what keeps those who are still in the physical moving forward. This woman was the rock of the family. A women who dedicated her life to her children and Allah. Her final chapter in the physical was ended in peace on the 15th of August, 2021. What a year this has been. There’s so many words we could use to define your spirit. It would take many years to write. It’s an honor to have you as my “Great Aunt”

When Allah made his decision to call you home. We were shocked, knowing the strength you possessed. We question asking “why?” When we are in no position to question his reasoning. They say tomorrow is never promised, we sometimes take that for granted. Never knowing when will be our last time to say “I love you” and hear your soul soothing reply “ I love you more”. Your last days left us on edge. With Allah’s strength that you’ve instilled into us all we know that you did all of his work while in your physical stage. “Job well done” we must add as we speak your name. You were then and remain a Queen.

A Queen who was Allah’s favorite, The golden one. Now I understood why you were sent home. A women who traveled to many places, seen many things. Who introduced so much joy into many lives especially my own that I never got to experience from home when I was in my youth.

From the fashion, you were the one. Your late 80s and 90s archives were one of one to say the least. Just seeing you here wearing a Presidential Rolex, with the matching bracelet. You understood the true meaning of being on “Allahs Time” and no one else’s. You taught us faith, you taught us patience and to trust in Allahs name and everything will be fruitful.

With that said, words could never describe how thankful we were to have you apart of our lives. It’s never a goodbye it’s always a “see you soon” Your job is done and you’ve done it well. Thank you Gladys Sleep well.
