Two schools. Two Homecomings. One Class of 2001 challenge!

Howard University and North Carolina A&T Class of 2001 are coming together for a friendly challenge with a bigger purpose: giving back and creating a lasting legacy for the next generation.
The baton starts with Howard Homecoming, October 11–18, and then passes to NC A&T Homecoming, October 25–November 1.
Here’s the challenge:

🎓 GIVE to our Class Endowment
🏷️ TAG a Class of 2001 classmate.
🏃🏾‍♀️ PASS THE BATON and challenge them to give.

And we especially want to hear from our first-time donors. If you’ve never given before, this is your moment. Every classmate matters. Every gift matters. Every gift helps build a legacy that reaches beyond us.

From the main stage to the media interviews at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s 55th Annual Legislative Conference @cbcfinc, I spoke about healing, mental wellness, laughter, and the courage it takes to stop shrinking and start showing up.

This is bigger than a speaking engagement. It is purpose in motion.

Every room I enter is another opportunity to remind someone that healing is possible, joy is still available, and you are not the bags you carry.

Our featured guest, Dr. Karen R. Stewart, is a board-certified adult and child/adolescent psychiatrist and Chief of Behavioral Health for The Southeast Permanente Medical Group. She will share her expertise to help us better understand suicidal thinking, recognize warning signs and risk factors, and know how to respond when someone may be in crisis.

The conversation will be moderated by Dr. RJ Verwayne, Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
