From ceramicists to textile designers to furniture makers & more, the FDC is home to hundreds of makers. Meet some below ⬇️

☁️ Milja Bannwart, the founder of @studiovuono, is an industrial designer who draws from the beauty of pristine natural surroundings & mid-century Scandinavian design to create sculptural ceramics that emphasize form.

☁️ Susan Eliza (@s.e.l.i.z.a) is the founder of Studio Eliza. Her ceramic work is a return to human nature, embracing the limitations of humanity & exploring the relationship between the physical & the conceptual, organic & synthetic, structure & disorder.

☁️ @marciepaper is an artist & designer specializing in hand-painted wall murals & site-specific installations. With a history as an abstract painter, Marcie has bridged this practice with a love for pattern.

☁️ Archana Menon (@_archm) is the founder of @_primalforms, a collection of handcrafted furniture, lighting, & objects that challenges dominant Eurocentric approaches to contemporary design.

☁️ LiLi Jackson (@lilijaxon) of Studio LiLi Jackson works with wood, clay, mycelium, & recycled objects to innovate within artisan traditions — using her training as a furniture maker to transform methods & materials into new uses.

☁️ Erika Hardman is the co-founder of @hardman_design, a furniture studio specializing in creating solid wood furniture that reflects a deep respect for materials, process, & the way people live today.

☁️ Reeta Gyamlani is the founder of @farragodesign, where she creates furniture & objects that celebrate the exquisite possibilities within raw elements — from cast metal to bone & gypsum.

☁️ @asli.smith is the co-founder of @studio.marmi, specializing in rugs & wallhangings handcrafted in Turkiye & meticulously made by skilled artisans using traditional, time-honored techniques. 📷: Umut Özge Balkan

☁️ Mary Elizabeth Alford is a furniture designer & maker of experimental furniture, sculptural lighting, & prints that embrace color, femininity, & pop culture.

☁️ Tess Bronfman is the founder of @tessemmanuelle, where she creates non-linear, intuitive lighting designs that challenge traditional perceptions.

Where geometry finds its groove: Meet the Anatolia Grid Rug. Available through our website, 1stDibs and select stockists soon. DM us for a friends & family discount.

Anatolia Grid Rug references the Anatolian kilim tradition while embracing a distinctly modern sensibility. The rug is composed of horizontal stripes, bold panels of color, and a dynamic sense of asymmetry that gives the design its distinctive rhythm. The palette, with contrasts of depth and
brightness, radiates warmth and energy, weaving together earthy tones and subtle contrasts.

—-The Anatolia Kilim Collection traces a dialogue between past and present, reimagining traditional kilim motifs through a contemporary lens. The geometry of traditional kilims is reconceived through balance, proportion, and color, translating heritage into modern compositions that highlight the beauty of handwoven craft. —-

When a silversmith, 3D printer, digital artist, material scientist, chef/eat artist, designer and octopus come into a bar…
This exhibition aims to provoke new dialogues around materiality, process, and the nature of perception. The host, @le.zoo.game @mother.games , serves as a metaphorical and virtual space for those who seek to see beyond the surface, harnessing new perspectives, and illuminating unseen truths.
The exhibition showcases physical works in contrast to their expansive virtual forms, challenging traditional notions of art and inviting viewers to reconsider their first impressions.
