A big thanks to @asomvel for sending over copies of their album Set Your World on Fire on vinyl and CD! 🤘 It’s always great to see a project you’ve recorded come to life and make its way out into the world. The Fire Edition vinyl looks absolutely killer! Thanks for trusting me with the recording and mixing guys.. If you’re into your rock ’n’ roll, make sure you check out Asomvel and give the album a spin. Recorded and mixed at Axis Recording Studio, Doncaster. “Anyone normal would have said, ‘This is not working. It's not working,’” Lenny says with a warm smile, observing it all. “But we just thought, ‘No, it’s not. But we want to do this... Only death can stop us,” he booms, proudly, “and even that hasn't stopped us.” Read our full interview with @asomvel at the link in bio 🔗 ✍️: @nickruskell 📷: Press

And so because I enjoyed my 1st gig in 7years so much, my next gig was on 19th September 2025, and was Devere and Asomvel again, but in Huddersfield, and with my cousin and his wife. I'm so glad I made the effort to travel because the gig just carved Asomvel into my mind even deeper as I was becoming more and more of a fan of them. My description when describing them to others has been Motörhead Reincarnated, which is pretty dam accurate, but at the same time Asomvel have something different that makes them one of a kind in my opinion. So over the year I've steadily been becoming part of the Asomvel Army, and can say with certainty that I'm Asomvel Army for life now 🤘🏻😊 @asomvel

On Friday September 5th 2025, Asomvel performed at Rebellion Manchester as part of their Born to Rock 'N' Roll U.K. tour. This was my 1st physical gig in 7 years due to ill health, I say physical as I saw some on YouTube or Veeps for example. Devere supported Asomvel that evening... so technically Devere we my 1st live band to see at a physical gig in 7yrs... so Asomvel were my 1st headliner band to physically see live in 7 years, and funny thing is that I only discovered them 3 weeks beforehand via Bloodstock's YouTube channel, and now in 12 months I've seen them 3 time lives and I can say that they're definitely my favourite living Rock'N'Roll band. So this post is very belated, and I've also several events since this one 12 months ago-ish to be adding gradually now too. Thank you @asomvel & @devererocks for such an incredible evening and memorable start for me attending events/gigs again after 7years being to ill to attend and thinking I'd never have the opportunity to go to another gig again because of my health, and yet after 7yrs of no gig hell the balance was restored and I can honestly say since then attending events has been a great interest which has definitely improved my health and wellbeing, and continues to do so too, plus the majority I've attended have been me going solo, something I never did before I got ill, and so that in itself just made me realise my determination, resilience and strength, because in my mind never going to an event/gig again wasn't a future life I could accept.
