We had the most amazing week at our 2026 Snowmass Summit Young Adult Retreat! Our days were full of adventure, connection, and laughter. This week was a reminder of how powerful it can be to find community with people who just get it.

We’re grateful for everyone who helped make this week possible and the young adults who not only showed up, but tried new things, shared their stores, and made this retreat so special!

Here’s to reaching new summits together!

The leaves are glowing, and The Gant team has a few more ideas for enjoying fall in and around Aspen. Save these experiences for your next visit:

🎣 Fly Fishing: Spend a fall day on the Roaring Fork or Fryingpan rivers with a local guide.
🍷 Paonia Wine Tasting: Head over McClure Pass to explore the wineries of Colorado’s North Fork Valley.
🚙 Backcountry Jeeping: Get farther into the mountains on a guided 4x4 excursion.
🥾 Crested Butte-to-Aspen Hike: Take on a bigger hiking adventure via West Maroon Pass, with golden aspens along the way.
🚲 Bike or E-Bike: Ride toward the Maroon Bells or follow the Rio Grande Trail from Aspen toward Woody Creek.
🏄 @kodiakskilake : Get out on the water for paddleboarding and more, with the mountains as your backdrop.

Our concierge team will happily answer questions or arrange these experiences for you.

Got in a little fishing during a workshop at the Aspen Center for Physics. I thought I had lucked out the last time I fished the Roaring Fork, but it turns out this river is just a phenomenal streamer fishery. I think I fished just about the entire stretch from Aspen to Woody Creek, all accessible along maybe 12 miles of bike trail. Fishing small, clear water like this can really teach you a lot about where fish hold and how they respond to flies. I will never get tired of watching fish crush a big, articulated streamer. Had to retire two streamers this trip that got mangled by numerous toothy browns and rainbows, definitely a sign of good fishing. Even ended up twice landing two fish in a single cast, a new one for me while fly fishing. I love seeing all the variations in coloration, shape, and personality in these wild fish. Surprised to get a cutbow because the river is supposed to hold only rainbows and browns. Wonder how it got in there. Beautiful fish, beautiful place. Good trip.

February had its ups and downs. We unexpectedly said goodbye to our best boy Jax, our loyal companion, adventure dog and boat alarm. There is never a good or easy time to lose a dog. But, we do know Jax was happiest on and in the water. And we, well… we were lucky to be surrounded by so many friends & made some magical memories to help ease the void. Life can be so unpredictable at times. Just another reminder to hold on tight to the things and people who bring you happiness. Xoxo 🐕 🌈 🐾 🌊

Never a dull moment fishing in Aspen! Rainbow trout galore, bald eagles hunting from the tree tops, post river beers at Woody Creek with @aspenoutfittingco and of course, William H Macy @williamhmacy wishing me good luck out on the river!
