What’s that tremor in the ground? Is it...rocket engines? Sandracers? An earthquake? Or is it...a new Borderlands author?

Borderlands Publishing Co. is proud to welcome Robin Rakkeby to the dark side. You know her as one of our editors and behind-the-scenes tech wizard, but now she’s crossing the outpost to the author side! Already an accomplished indie in her own right (her debut Those We See in the Dark was a Realm Award finalist!), she joins Borderlands’ roster with her sophomore novel A Marriage of Inconvenience, releasing in Spring 2027. Aside from the information already in her bio, keep reading for some fun facts about our resident wizard of whimsy.

Robin...

Enjoys calculated risk in her outdoor activities, and has gone whitewater rafting, ice climbing. and caving.
Has been ruled “most whimsical” at her aerospace engineering job.
Grew twelve inches in two years (middle school was rough).
Has lived in three countries...and traveled to twenty.
Would live entirely off strawberry banana smoothies if given the chance.
Once got a monstera plant from IKEA with the express purpose of seeing how long it would survive without water. (It outlasted her patience.)
