$𝘽𝙤𝙤𝙠𝘾𝙤𝙣 2026 - 𝙒𝙧𝙖𝙥 𝙐𝙥 & 𝙏𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 I, personally, had a great time at BookCon! I did not go Saturday, so I missed the entry fiasco. Sunday’s entry was smooth and organized. I did not go for ARCs because I get so many sent to me…. So I didn’t deal with that either. I think what you did largely determined how your experience went. I had a full itinerary written out of where I wanted to be and when, in order to meet as many authors and get as many books signed as possible! And for me, that worked extremely well! I met almost everyone on my list. I did not buy anything because I was too busy meeting authors to peruse the vendors. I purchased only one book (looking at you D.L. Jennings), the rest I brought from home to get signed. So I didn’t spend a lot and I’m totally good with that. I did exactly what I set out to do and had a great time doing it! My few feedback notes: -BookCon utilized a small fraction of the Javits. More space should be dedicated in the future. This would have solved so many of the issues that people had. -The autograph section had issues with line management. The volunteers were few and had no idea what they were doing. You don’t make one line for multiple authors. Just do exactly what you do at NYCC and everything will be better. -BookCon should not be scheduled on the same weekend as other major book events. So again, I had an absolute blast! It wasn’t perfect but I had so much fun! Got to meet amazing authors and see my book besties! I’ll definitely be returning and I’m glad BookCon is back. #bookcon #bookish #bookstagram #bookcon2026 #books$
