POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

In honor of today's full moon, we had to share this absolutely incredible and inspiring photo by @astro.alli ⭐️

Did you know that moon watching used to be a method of observing and studying bird migration? Scientists would point a scope or telescope on the full moon and count the number of bird silhouettes that flew across her surface!

During this period of fall migration, many of you have shared with us your stories of witnessing sandhill cranes on their journeys. Every time we hear these stories, we are reminded of the profound impact these amazing creatures have on us. They seem to connect us to something ancient, reawakening awe, wonder, and the feeling of being part of something so much vaster and older than we can even fathom.

Over 4 feet tall and with a wingspan of 7 feet, they fly in large, trumpeting flocks, their deep calls upwelling from their long, coiled trachea and echoing across the horizon!

Thank you @astro.alli for capturing their magnificence and the majesty of this expansive universe 🌕

Proud to be me 🫀 thank you to everyone who has not only been accepting, but also supportive. I do genuinely feel so loved by so many people in my life - friends, students, coworkers, and other artists I work with. If I tagged you it’s because I distinctly remember having a moment/conversation with you where I truly felt seen, and I’m sure there are many more I missed. From the bottom of my heart - thank you and I love you.

What an amazing weekend in Nevada City, California! Jesse and Jeff and Maya and the whole festival team through an event filled with wonderful films, engaged audiences, and reinvigorating panels and discussions and parties.

Thank you for including me - and thank you for giving me the excuse to bring together three great friends for an amazing animation discussion/panel followed by an equally wonderful metaphysical dinner with them. Ri, Noel and Michaela I need more of yall in my life.

Had to split this post into two halves because there was just too much goodness at the festival.
