Old console, old stories and memorabilia. 70's 80's and 90's.

As a kid, I played The Legend of Zelda on the NES and got so lost in its world that I didn’t even notice how simple and 2D it really was.
In my mind, it was a full 3D universe.
Now, years later, I fire it up on 3dSen, hit one button and—boom—
the exact 3D world I imagined as a child appears right in front of me.
If that’s not magic, what is?

You don’t need a next-gen console to feel the rhythm of destruction—just an original Xbox and a taste for rare fan-made gems.
Rhythm of Destruction 2: Street Fighter Edition isn’t just a beat 'em up—it’s a pixel-powered crossover that throws Ryu, Chun-Li, and Guile into a world of pure OpenBOR chaos.
Running smooth on OG hardware, no emulation, no frills—just raw retro fury.

A basketball star. A mad scientist. And a city overrun by robots. 🏀

Michael Jordan: Chaos in the Windy City isn't your typical sports game. It's a side-scrolling platformer where you fight through a weird, wonderful world with eight different basketballs — each with its own element and power.

It's bizarre. It's ambitious. And it's one of those games that deserves a second look.

What's the weirdest game you've ever played? 👇

Sly Spy — the arcade classic where Data East made their own James Bond, and called him Agent 006. 🕵️

Infinite ammo. Infinite loops. And one very smooth motorcycle. 😂🔫

Ok, Instagram ate my comment once again, so let's just upload some hashtags: #PlumbersdontwearTies #retroadv (yea, it's a retro commercial) and #gamesofthe90s

Retro gaming isn't just a hobby. It's a time machine. 🕹️

It's the feeling of blowing into a cartridge and hoping it works. The sound of a CRT humming to life. The weight of a controller that didn't need updates, patches, or internet — it just worked.

We didn't have tutorials. We didn't have save states. We had patience. We had friends sitting next to us. We had that one level we could never beat — and the day we finally did.

Those pixels weren't just graphics. They were memories. And those memories? They still load perfectly, every single time.

Here's to the games that raised us. And the ones we'll never stop playing. 🎮❤️

Some things never die. They just reload. 💥

Metal Slug isn't just a game. It's a legend. A masterclass in pixel art, a chaotic symphony of explosions, and a love letter to everything that made arcades unforgettable.

Every frame of animation. Every "HEAVY MACHINE GUN!" Every perfectly timed dodge. It's a series that didn't just define a genre — it became the genre.

The fight continues. And we'll always be there to pick up the controller.

To the soldiers, the tanks, and the millions of quarters we fed into the machine. 🎖️

Sometimes it's better to absolve and forgive...absolve and forgive the sadly legendary #PhoenixGames for games like #DoomsdayRacers! An arcade racer developed by the guys of Mere Mortals (thanks for noticing us), that's so clunky and sticky to be boring and almost unplayable. Btw this is the kind of games I've asked for my birthday one month ago, and so I love it, a strange kind of love of course. #gamesofthe90s

Some games don't need to be the best version. They just need to be your version.

I played this one on the PlayStation back in the day. Slower than the PC port, sure. But it had something special — exclusive cars, Lego tracks, and a vibe that just felt right on a CRT.

It's not about perfect physics. It's about the memory of racing tiny cars around a living room floor.

What's a "worse" version of a game you still love? 👇

A sweet rarity from the #Playstation age: the uncommon #Asciiware controller! Unluckily this one is not mine, but it's a pleasure to see. Have you ever owned one of these? #gamesofthe90s
