THE MOMENTS IN BETWEEN // aka October is a marathon, not a sprint, and when all else fails, just remember to laugh, breathe, and dance…. 2 days post product launch, after finishing a crack of dawn house call client in Montecito, on our way back to LA to start an afternoon of clients at the atelier, Hector and I found ourselves in the middle of nowhere (or, Thousand Oaks same thing) almost out of gas. But it didn’t stop there. The entire city had no electricity and apparently this was affecting all the gas stations. At first we thought it was comical, driving from one station to other, surrounded by pickup trucks and cybertrucks, wondering out loud if the apocalypse was finally, actually, upon us. After the 4th gas station, driving for miles and one blinking traffic light after another, our giggles got a little nervous. Well, a lot nervous. (Oh, and I was also on zoom meetings the entire time, trying not to panic even though my perimenopausal anxiety is well documented, because leaders don’t panic, right? Right?!?) Anyway, all of that to say, is there are so many moments that don’t get documented, and they’re usually the real ones that are bringing us all to our knees. But, these times are precarious ones, so try we must to find the humor, and the joy, and just keep it moving. Beyond our long awaited product launch, the first half of October has been PACKED with gorgeous and glorious events for some of our dear clients. And though the calendar has never been more full, and the pressure has never felt more real, showing up for these women, like the way they ALWAYS show up for this brand, has been the greatest joy. Forever inspired by these California queens. Very excited to finish this month out, in a very big way. How lucky am I to get to work with brands who want to build real environments for their customers to enjoy. It felt like all my worlds merging into one: interiors, dining tables, foraging for florals (!!!), and collateral for days, right down to golf balls and custom knit coozies as a cherry on top… Some static moments from the @marinelayer trip to Sea Ranch celebrating the Coastal Merino Collection. We worked hard, made new friends, crafted, ate, and laughed, a lot. I will not soon forget our afternoon with a cliffside picnic straight out the back of a Bronco. Misty mornings, oysters three ways, scenic outlooks that go on for miles, delightful dinners with new friends— all whilst bundled up in anywhere from 2-10 layers of coastal merino wool depending on the time of day… Can you get any closer to heaven? Thank you x a million to the beautiful and talented humans at @marinelayer and @futongandfriends for including me in this absolutely dreamy trip up California’s north coast to @thesearanchlodge. I’ll be happily marine-layered all season long thanks to you lot! 🐏❤️🌊

A trip up the coast of Northern California with @marinelayer to a destination high on my list—Sea Ranch. We hiked, had the best meals, lounged in Adirondack chairs in the sun, golfed and did yoga in the coziest layers from @marinelayer. A few days up the Northern California coast with @marinelayer 🧡 @thesearanchlodge sweater weather, my Hog Island oyster initiation, millennial mom mocktails, Peanut as acting social chair, cliffside crafting, fireside everything and a little golf-and-beer role reversal. Came home with lots more layers and the coolest new friends. Biggest thank you to the ML team and @futongandfriends for the most beautiful trip!
