‘It’s hard to describe how living in something so beautiful changes you, but it does. Our family takes more care in the details from what we cook, to how we set the table or even listening to more music on a record player, it’s brought a magical elegance to our life.’

A Slice of Clare: Designing for Style and Entertaining

In the heart of the picturesque Clare Valley, renowned for its rolling vineyards and world-class Rieslings, lies an exciting new AtelierBond project that celebrates entertaining and sophisticated living. We were tasked with creating a home that embraces its stunning location and caters to the client’s love for hosting. With frequent gatherings of up to 20 people, the clients wanted a space that is as functional as it is beautiful, offering versatility for entertaining while taking full advantage of the natural surroundings.

The design begins with a large, open-plan living area that overlooks the water, perfectly oriented to the north. This strategic positioning ensures the home is bathed in natural light throughout the day, making the most of the region’s clear, sunny skies. The northern aspect enhances the sense of space and promotes energy efficiency, keeping the home comfortable year-round.

One of the most indulgent features of this home is the opulent principal suite located on the first floor. Designed with the lavishness of a high-end hotel room, the suite offers a serene northern view over the pool. Complete with its own private rooftop terrace, this space provides the perfect setting for intimate moments.

It’s an emphasis on shared experiences ensures that every moment spent in this home is enriched by the presence of friends and loved ones. Seamlessly blending elegance, functionality, and a deep connection to the landscape, ensuring that every gathering will be a memorable experience. Ultimately, this design caters for the client’s desire for a home that can adapt to their lifestyle, allowing them to entertain with a Reisling or three, while savouring their surroundings’ tranquil beauty.

A Modern Reimagining, Not a Copycat.

Drawing from our client’s love for classical ornamentation, our design for their extension doesn’t simply replicate historical details—it reinvents them, weaving them into a modern narrative that honours the home’s legacy.

The result? A space that radiates warmth, sophistication, and timeless elegance, where history and innovation come together in perfect harmony. This is more than a nod to the past—it’s a celebration of individuality and enduring beauty.

The Art of Colour and Material in Design.

Your space is more than just where you live—it’s where stories are shared, inspiration is sparked, and comfort is found.

The interior design of your home influences how you feel, how you create, and how you connect.
Colour and material choices are at the heart of great design, which goes far beyond aesthetics.

They have the power to stir emotion, spark energy, or evoke calm. Every hue and texture play a role in shaping not just your environment but your everyday experiences.

Our Beaumont concept truly celebrates colour and material, blending playful tones with unexpected textures to craft a visual feast.

Thoughtfully curated materials complement bold colour choices, transforming each space into a stunning masterpiece of art and design. Patterns and textures intertwine, creating layers of depth that add richness and intrigue to every corner.

>>>> Do you have your eye on a particular material or colour? <<<<

DM us to ask about some of the material and colour ideas behind the selections that bring this concept to life.
Let’s explore how they can inspire your space!

The art of blending buildings and botanicals.

The concept of “bringing the outdoors in” is common in our briefing meetings. Previous projects, where the architecture and garden design seamlessly complement each other, are often referenced.

The Garden Pavilion is a shining example of this successful integration. When we consider garden spaces in our designs, it’s a magical result. Achieving this seamless design is a source of great satisfaction for us.

In our studio, a vital aspect of beautiful design is the visual connection between the home and the garden. When these two elements complement each other, they create a deeply satisfying and connected feeling, a goal worth striving for in our design projects.

Just as the flow between rooms and spaces is crucial for the home’s function, so is the connection between the architecture and the outside space. In our studio, we love creating meaningful, functional, and beautiful transitions between the building and the garden.

While landscaping is often considered a secondary stage after the initial building work, our studio believes in planning it from the start. We ensure that our architecture includes planned garden views, so when the time comes, you know there are beautiful outdoor spaces waiting to be brought to life.

Tender is the Stay

As with all rooms in this apartment, the clients wanted to embrace colour and use it to its fullest potential. The use of pattern was a deliberate direction to allow the decorative detailing and saturated collection of hues to shine.
