$“Esq-i Nur” Exhibition 25 September – 21 October, 2025 📍Shirvanshahs’ Palace @ateshhub «I» Video art, 2025 This video art piece visualizes the psychological and ontological struggle of confronting the inner self. It reflects the individual’s attempts to become someone else, the pressures of social and symbolic identity, and the pivotal moment when transformation gives way not to change, but to self-acceptance. Here, the “I” is not merely a form of identification, but an act of self-recognition — a gesture of fidelity to one’s essence. The work emphasizes the strength that emerges not from reshaping identity, but from listening to it, preserving it, and allowing it to speak. The figure of the “I” embodies both the fractured subject and the spiritual process striving toward wholeness. Conceptually, this resonates with Nasimi’s notion of the “I,” understood as an ontological passage toward God — the moment when the divine essence within is recognized and embraced. In this vision, birth does not occur on a biological level, but on an ontological one: existence begins the moment the individual accepts their “I.” mentor: @sabinashikhlinskaya curators:@monsoreau_ art manager: @agnessandart$
