Week 3. Five different swings. One process. 🔨

The moves are getting cleaner and more repeatable, and each one looks more like the hitter’s own swing. These aren’t cookie-cutter swings, just better versions of each guy.

Prepared. Not Programmed.

First off, I want to thank God, my parents and family, the coaches at Athletes HQ and Wheaton Warrenville south, along with everyone else who has supported me throughout this journey. Through all the ups and downs, the hard work never stopped, and this is just the beginning. Excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Triton College! I would like to thank coach Carraway and coach Radcliffe for this opportunity. I’m beyond grateful and ready to get to work. The journey continues! #agtg #committed

Last weekend these boys made it to their first Championship game together as a newly formed @athleteshqelgin 14u team and oh what a tournament weekend it was! They earned 1st in pool play and ended up taking runner up in the Championship game for the 15/16u division. @chase_clevenger pitched his first ever shutout game, picked off or threw out multiple runners while catching, and had some great at bats. So proud of what this team and these coaches are accomplishing this fall. #athleteshqelgin #chaseclevenger44 #chaseclevenger8thgrade #2031AthletesHQElginRed

⚫🔴 CONGRATULATIONS, MAKAYLA SHAW! ⚫🔴

Top 50 Midwest Outfielder ranked by Extra Innings Softball

Rank: #49

A natural leader in the AHQ 14U Monroy outfield, Makayla Shaw brings the kind of energy that lifts an entire dugout. The Class of 2030 outfielder wears the captain’s role with pride, setting the tone as a teammate who hypes up those around her and keeps morale high through every inning.

Guided by Coach Nichole Monroy, Shaw pairs her competitive spirit with genuine care for the group, making her the connective glue of her squad and a standout presence worth following as her game continues to grow.

Congratulations, Biggie! We are so proud of you and the sky is the limit kid!

Makayla trains with Coach CJ from AHQ DuPage outside of team training.

⚫🔴 CONGRATULATIONS, ELLIE RUFFOLO ⚫🔴

Top 50 Catcher in the Midwest Region by Extra Innings Softball

Rank #33

"Anchoring the position with poise, Ellie Ruffolo brings a steady presence behind the plate as a Class of 2030 catcher for AHQ Monroy 13U. She embraces the demands of the position, working to control the tempo of each game and support her battery from the first pitch to the last. A dedicated competitor developing her craft under Nichole Monroy, Ruffolo projects as a backstop whose commitment and upside point toward continued growth in the seasons ahead."

Ellie trains with Coach Lino Figueroa from AHQ DuPage. She has been a rock behind the plate this year and we can't wait to see what next year's rankings bring her!

Great weekend playing up at the 14U Sparks Chicago Classic and making it to the championship. We came back and forced extra innings but lost by one. 5-1 on the weekend and lots of phenomenal softball! 🥎⚫️🔴🥈

Advanced Infield Defense with Coach Zach has been a great experience for our athletes. He keeps them focused on staying explosive, attacking the ball, making quick transfers, using different arm slots, and—most importantly—communicating.

We have four more weeks of small-group sessions and can’t wait to work with Coach Zach as a full team!

Not the finish we wanted, but the boys battled against some tough competition and held their own! 💪🏼⚾️ Lots to build on and plenty of potential in this group. Time to put in the work over the winter and come back stronger!
