Atlanta, please be advised that the bridge on Moores Mill Road is closed following a heavy vehicle strike. Crews are on-site assessing the damage, and motorists should plan for alternate routes and allow extra travel time.

Swipe through for details, detour routes and the latest information.

Boil Water Advisory ‼️

You shouldn’t have to think twice about the water you use to brush your teeth, prepare dinner or fill your child’s cup.

As plumbers, we see how much daily life depends on clean, safe water. It supports your family’s health, your everyday routines and your comfort at home.

The current boil water advisory is a reminder: water can look clear and still require precautions. Refrigerator and pitcher filters do not replace boiling.

If your address is affected, use bottled water or boil tap water at a rolling boil for one minute, then let it cool before drinking, cooking or brushing your teeth. Follow these precautions until officials lift the advisory.

Check your address and the latest updates at atlantawatershed.org.

For 45 years, our family-owned, Black-owned team has helped Metro Atlanta homeowners understand and care for their plumbing. That care starts with the water your family depends on.

The City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management (DWM) has issued a boil water advisory for residents and businesses in Southwest Atlanta, South Fulton, Fairburn, and Union City due to a water supply interruption affecting the Chattahoochee Water Treatment Plant (WTP).

This advisory is out of an abundance of caution and in accordance with Georgia EPD guidance for public notice.

DWM crews and contractors are currently on site and investigating the situation. In addition, DWM is monitoring operations and system pressures. The boil water advisory will remain in place until DWM is cleared to lift the advisory following sampling protocols. The GIS interactive map is forthcoming.

To protect the public from a potential health hazard, all residents and property owners who have experienced water outages and/or low water pressure are advised to boil all water before use or use bottled water for drinking, cooking, preparing baby food, or brushing teeth. The water should be boiled for one minute past a rolling boil. Infants, the elderly, and those with immune deficiencies should be cautious. Also, do not drink water from public water fountains in the impacted area.
