Story of Mentorship: Paying It Forward

Every teacher has a teacher.

From the very beginning, mentors shared their wisdom with us. The @holisticlifefoundation was one of those mentors, helping us see new possibilities for bringing yoga and mindfulness to children and educators.

We brought those lessons home. And then something beautiful happened. The learning kept moving.

An educator learned a practice from us.
A student experienced it in their classroom.
A teacher shared it with a colleague.

For 10 years, we’ve had the privilege of learning from others—and sharing what we’ve learned with educators who carry it forward every day.

Help us keep the learning moving.

Give $10 for 10 years of impact. 💙💚 Link to give in BIO.

💙 When students begin using mindfulness as a resource on their own, you know it’s making an impact.
A school psychologist at @bradleytechtrojans shares what she’s witnessed since HLF’s Mindful Moment Program became part of their school community.

One of the things that stands out most? Students are choosing to use the Mindful Moment room as a tool and a resource. 🌱
It’s a space where they can step away, breathe, reset, regulate, and return to their day with the tools they need to move forward.

For a school psychologist who sees firsthand what students are navigating, having a resource like this available makes a difference—and she shares how grateful she is that Bradley Tech has such a unique and impactful program supporting its students.

That’s the goal: not simply teaching mindfulness, but helping young people recognize when they need a tool—and empowering them to use it. 💙

25 years later, HLF continues creating spaces where young people can pause, reconnect, and thrive.
🎉 Celebrate HLF’s Quarter of a Century of impact with us!

💙 What happens when breathing, pausing, and resetting become the new normal?

At Milwaukee Parkside School for the Arts @milwaukeemps, students are learning that taking a moment to breathe isn’t something you only do when things get hard—it can become part of how you move through every day.

Through HLF’s Mindful Moment Program, breathing practices and mindfulness are becoming familiar tools these students can turn to—to reset, regulate their emotions, manage stress, and come back to the present moment. 🌱

And that’s the beautiful part: for these young people, mindfulness is becoming normal.

Imagine growing up knowing how to pause before reacting. How to breathe through a difficult moment. How to recognize what you’re feeling and give yourself space to respond.
Those are tools that can go far beyond the classroom. 💙

For 25 years, HLF has worked to make practices like these accessible to young people and communities—and seeing a new generation embrace them is what this work is all about.
🎉 Celebrate 25 years of HLF and help us bring these tools to even more young people.
