There was a sense of magic and mysticism in the air. Nepal was the only region in the Indian subcontinent that wasn’t colonized, and therefore its authenticity felt untethered. Nepal is regarded as the birthplace of both Sita and Gautam Buddha, paving the way for Hinduism and Buddhism to coexist harmoniously, birthing deeply infused traditions and ways of worship.

Kathmandu, its capital city, wasn’t trying to be like any other place. Its rawness was paramount. It was breathing rich history, culture, culinary depth, and divinity. With its new, rapper 35-year-old Prime Minister @balenshah , the city and country both seemed to stand at the pinnacle of a new world—one that is gently taking shape in this resplendent valley, sitting at the foothills of the glorious Himalayas, guarded by the mighty Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest)
