We closed out our Summer Read-A-Loud series with Khadeidra Le Gendre and her book A Twin Like You. It was a joy to see our young readers come together for one more story before the summer ended. Through this series, we’ve had the opportunity to introduce children to new books and authors while bringing families together around a shared love of reading. Thank you, Khadeidra, for spending the day with us, and thank you to every family who joined us throughout the series.

We stopped by Kith Kids for story time and the author herself @atwinlikeyou , read her book A Twin Like Me to the kids! The whole experience was so cute! The kids got a goody bag with the book inside, plus tickets for free ice cream and Jane’s Carousel. #nycmom#kithkids#kidthingstodoinnyc

Chris and I went on a lunch date to try the Twin Combo from our fellow twin parents, @jhart and @shannondesiree_ , and it did not disappoint. We loved both burgers. Each had its own vibe, and the nod to their twin sons made it feel even more on brand for us. Ngl, I went in expecting to love Shannon's wagyu beef burger with gruyère cheese, black truffle aioli, and freshly shaved black truffle because it sounded more like fine dining -- but was pleasantly surprised with Josh's take with layered with a fried egg, crispy hash brown, bacon, cheddar cheese, and a signature ketchup and garlic aioli. The collaboration supports @jalenbrunson1 @secondroundfoundation so it’s one of those meals that actually gives back, through education, sport and community ❤️❤️ Let's Go Knicks! *My twins took orange juice as payment for five minutes of silence so I could finish this voiceover.

I didn’t have a roadmap to publishing, just a story I believed in, and the audacity to see it through. Here’s how A Twin Like You went from an idea to a real book. #sᴛᴏʀʏᴛɪᴍᴇ #storytimethreads #author #authorsofinstagram #childrensbookstagram #meanwhileinqueens #queensny #1000booksbeforekindergarten #twin #twinmomlife #twinmommy #momlife
