As I now settle down into teaching, I’ve had a better time to reflect on this past marching season. And it is definitely one for the books, I was thrown into the season with plenty of weight on my shoulders and had to find a way to push through despite it. The season had its ups which I will fondly remember (big shoutout to the front ensemble! Sadly I wasn’t much of a picture person this season) but it also had its downs.

I was pushed to grow in ways I didn’t think I would need to, but I had @ava.pigeon and @savi_png to come along for the ride. And I wouldn’t want to have anyone else by my side for the season. Big shoutout to @ethan.paradise.71 for always double checking me on the sets that I called, I am a goldfish some times.

@fusioncore_ has been a place that I am lucky to be able to call home, even when home has never felt more further away. Thank you for allowing me to lead you this year and thank you to all the members that put their trust in me and joined the crazy roller coaster ride. And without it I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to meet all the amazing people in DCI. Big shout out to all the Drum Major’s that I met in January, and those that kept up with me throughout the whole season it meant more than you could realize.

I know after this season that I am more than lucky to be surrounded by so many people who love and care for me, and will have my back when the cards are down. Please know that I would do the same for anyone else too.

I don’t know what’s next in the cards for me but you best keep watching because the show is just starting.

Crossmen,

It’s been a few days since getting home and it is just now hitting me that it’s over.

5 years ago I had no idea what Drum Corps was, and now I age out as a 4 year vet of my home and dream corps.

When signing up for my first camp, I did it with the belief that nothing would come of it, I didn’t know what to expect and definitely couldn’t imagine myself spending a whole summer away from home, traveling the country playing an instrument. That one impulsive decision has changed my life forever.

I want to thank all of my friends who I have made over the years that made drum corps possible. They made waking up every morning manageable and kept me laughing even when times were rough. I am forever grateful to have been able to meet and bind with all of you and will love you guys infinitely forever!

To the Crossmen Visual staff, each and every single one of y’all are my greatest inspirations and a major reason I came back to March year after year. Y’all taught me so many things I never thought I could do and allowed me to be the best version of myself. While both of our times are done there I’m blessed to have been there every step of y’all’s crossmen journey as y’all were for mine. I hope to use y’all’s teaching and pass them down while teaching at my home programs. I hope we can one day share a round of root beer and laugh at the hard times on the road!

Thank you to the Crossmen organization for giving me the opportunity to live out my passion of the marching arts on the world stage. Im blessed to have been given a leadership role to help inspire every member that i was blessed to have in my section. I hope i was able to leave a mark snd help grow the organization in the direction of competitive growth and education. I am forever in y’alls debt and hope to stick around to help further grow the organization.

Im not a very good writer, I just wanted to get my thoughts and thanks out to the world. I love everyone at the home team and cant wait to sit back and watch as a fan of the corps! Stay in touch everyone, Im always open to have a chat.

2026 Crossmen banquet

My last banquet as a performer!! I’m still at a loss for words as I genuinely didn’t realize how fast time has flown by, I remember talking about how I had so much time left in this activity my rookie year yet here we are in the big 26 and I’ve officially hit the age where i’m unfortunately too old to continue 😅 though the season is not over(yet!), I still want to thank everyone here at the crossmen for making my last summer of marching a complete blast. I love this activity and how it’s shaped me as a person and musician, I wouldn’t know where I’d be today if I didn’t shoot for the stars. I don’t want to get too sappy quite yet so i’m just gonna end this off with we’re going out with a bang.
