We’re giving you a glimpse of our bulletin board to shine a light on the latest installment in The Mead Witter School of Music’s Career Chat Series, which is presenting Joey Stuckey, an award-winning artist, producer, and speaker whose multifaceted career transcends the boundaries of sight, sound, and genre. Blind since early childhood, Joey has shared the stage with icons like James Brown, the B-52s, and Bad Company. Behind all his work lies a commitment to human connection and a profound love for sound. The chat is happening tomorrow, October 13, 2026, in Collins Recital Hall, Hamel Music Center, 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Central Time. Audrey Martinovich, Lecturer, Music Production, will host. All students are invited to attend! It will also be streamed live via the Mead Witter School of Music YouTube channel. @jstuckeymusic @audioaudrey @meadwitterschoolofmusic

“Stay Soft” by @elliejacksonmusic is out now everywhere! Available for purchase on bandcamp!

Recorded at a dream residency at @parlorhotel in Mar 2025 by @silvercitystudios, engineered and mixed by @josh_evert_, and mastered by @audioaudrey. Artwork by @gabriela__riveros.

Recorded with longtime collaborators and musicians from the Milwaukee music community, Stay Soft captures an artist who has spent years quietly figuring out what she wants to say and, just as importantly, how loudly she wants to say it.

Stay Soft traverses landscapes of vulnerability, love, heartbreak, loss, friendship, and challenging the status quo.

Featuring musicians @caleyconwaymusic, @barry_paul_clark, @crumbsonthedrums, @emilyswm, @old.pup, @josh_evert_ , @sarahspacejam (@thenunnery), @vacationcowboy, and @livdo_ww.

The album moves between delicate vocals and distorted guitars, intimate confession and full-band release, vulnerability and resistance.

Two release shows coming up!
@parlorhotel in Princeton on 10/9
@cactusclubmke in Milwaukee on 10/10

FFO: @juliajacklin • Angel Olsen • @sherylcrow • Fiona Apple

Woo-hoo! We did it! I just completed recording my first children’s album at @audioforthearts! Huge thanks to @audioaudrey for being the most awesome music producer, & @grantblaschka and @_sylen_kephra_phene_ who rocked on bass, drums and percussion. And special thanks to my family and friends who helped me on this musical adventure! I think you and your kids will enjoy this album and I can’t wait to share it with all of you. The journey has just begun - and will still take time to complete, but I’ll keep you updated on the progress and release date. In the meantime, stay tuned! ❤️

YOU’RE INVITED! On Tuesday, September 29th, Audio for the Arts is celebrating 30 years of music, story, and community. Since opening our doors, we’ve had the privilege of capturing countless live performances, album recordings, and broadcast sessions with artists across every genre.

Whether tracking in a historic concert hall or mixing in the studio, our focus has always been the same: delivering clean, authentic sound, while honoring the creative vision of the musicians we work with. To everyone who has trusted us with their sound over the last three decades – thank you for making this milestone possible.

Here’s to 30 years behind the console, and to all the music still to come.

MORE epic moments with my Grammy Family! 🏆 Last night’s Grammy Legacies & Looking Ahead event was special & memorable. After celebrating my first full year as a Voting Member, I reflected on my WHY. Being blessed is a privilege, but becoming a blessing to others is the purpose. Last evening, I met someone who shared that they had been a member of the Chicago Chapter since 1989. What an inspiration! I pray for that same grace.

A big thank you to our @recordingacademy Chicago Chapter President @add2themc, the Board, Committee Members & all those who worked so hard to cultivate a meaningful moment in time! Salute!! Stoked to be a part of the movement & move the needle forward! 🙏🏽
