Powerlines is out. I am immensely proud of this record. Most of it was recorded in a bedroom in Brooklyn. I sent tracks to friends and they made it better. More glorious friends sang on it and Noëlle Hampton produced the vocals. I brought it back to New Mexico and when I just could not get my brain around the final two songs because life was really life-ing at me, Alex Daoust co-produced them with me and made them sound incredible (tracks 1 + 7 for those playing along). Russell Tanner was a gem of a mixing engineer on this project the whole way, and Nick Landis made it sparkle with the mastering.

I find solace in art. Taking it in and making it. I assume you are reading because something I do makes something in your general area better, so I hope Powerlines being out on the planet helps in some way. I definitely made it to create and not to destroy. That is the energy in which I approach things.

These songs are about joy, anticipation, loss, regret and The Great Muddling Around, but they are all embracing the wonder of existing as a human being trying to figure out existence on this planet...which we all have a right to do. Maybe one of these songs is a soundtrack to that confusion/figuring that out. I'd be honored. If you have a moment today, I'd be doubly honored if you forwarded this to a friend, or posted about the record on the socials, or told someone about it with your mouth speaking words to their face (like how the old time people promoted records). THAT is what moves a needle in 2026, trust me!

Yesterday the Crown Princess of Sweden came to my house. Seriously.

My current house happens to be House of Songs, an artist exchange non-profit in Cherrywood. House of Songs founder Troy Campbell give a short presentation on the history of the organization in Sweden and two artists played a song each (pictured is Erika Wennerstrom's smiling face right after she performed a gorgeous acoustic number).

As you can see, the princess and her consulate LOVED it. Here's to many more years of providing international experiences for musicians! 🥂
