Today is her birthday and I love her so much. Before moving to Italy she was always my most willing muse- and I have over fifty bad drawings and paintings of her hiding on both sides of the Atlantic. Audrey sewing, Audrey baking, Audrey playing the piano, Audrey with her long hair.

Sometimes I think of art as this professional serious thing, but art can be the most intimate exploration of who we are as people, and who those around us are to us. What it is to be a human, a girl, a sister. I love you Audrey!

When you ask AI to sum up your current passions and care for others but ask it to research everything about your past work history, loving, caring and everything that pertains to your passions and hobbies…. Anyone that knows me will tell there is a ton of subtle nuances that define me, my character and my passions for community, business, love towards others and innovation with a creative approach. I love this image that captures exactly how I feel in my current state of life and I am so excited to grow in my life, relationships, business and faith…. Florida sounds nice too! lol

This is Rogue, the iCORE Fitness gym rat and mascot. Rogue is a staple of the iCORE community and shines bright to everyone who comes to the gym. Rogue recently developed an injury that requires immediate surgery. The surgery is a lot more than expected. Audrey in a vintage Austrian dirndyl 🌼

Four sessions drawing my sister with pastel, in my mom’s Pennsylvania studio. Unfinished but awaiting another American voyage.

It was super cool returning to pastel, after working with oils over two years. It’s less intimidating but also challenging in similar ways, weaving colors and drawn line to create depth and space. I also felt influenced by my mom’s painted color schemes that surrounded me - painted tulips and roses in casein ochres and olives and reds. @warwickvillagepaintworks

Hoping to continue playing with this medium in between painting attempts this year 💗

We are so excited to be showcasing our studios talent this sunday on November 19th.

Our studio performances will take place between 12-2 and 2-4 this year in Ware Recital Hall. There are two facebook events, one for the 12pm and one for the 2pm recitals, where a livestream will be available for those who cannot attend in person. Memories-Abruzzi 2014 ❤️‍🔥

How weird it is to live in two different places, oscillating between worlds and memories. “I’m going home,” I say— and yet I leave another behind, now a misty dream standing on the ground of the other.
Florence and its lampposts, sunset river scenes and yellow sandy-colored soul. Pennsylvania and our pussywillow, moss and our green-gardened home. Half of a heart on both shores, I continue this splinted life- both taught me to love the other, but how heartsore I remain.

Would it be better to not know the joy, to remedy this sorrow? As I return to Italy alone, the reality of the continuous separation hits— from my family, my cousins, my friends, my country… I realize after two months back in my original home, how much of an American, my type of American, I am, and how, even with the lack of gargoyles and leaning towers, I love her.

It was there I learned to love my distant fatherland. The seed of longing started before I knew the name— scopa cards and sarcone’s bread, Anthonys and Angies. It was Philadelphia beyond the wall, Italy within. Italy was heaven, and Michelangelo and Botticelli my saints.

What lingering longings. Is it not a where, but a who? 💔
